"I have been a patient of the Ashley Clinic for the past 9 months and it has always been a positive and pleasant experience, until today. Each month, I contact the office to request a refill of my prescription and it has always been without incident. Today, just as I do every month, I called in a refill and was advised that it would cost me an additional $200 due to a new “membership fee.” This is a fee that is on top of the medication cost and the membership fee that I am already paying for Ashley to be my direct care provider. I questioned the increase in cost and was put on hold. I then spoke with Jenn, who was able to explain that a separate compounding pharmacy would be able to fill the order at a reduced cost. This conversation was pleasant and without incident. Two minutes later, Ashley Pollard, my personal direct care provider and owner of the clinic, called me and immediately began verbally attacking me, screaming at me and saying that if I am going to be nasty to her staff, then I would no longer be welcome at her office. She also told me that no one in her office wants to talk to me when I call and continued to shut me down each time I tried to interject with requests for clarification. I repeatedly told Ashley that I was confused by what she was saying, since I have never had a negative conversation with anyone in her office and I didn’t appreciate how she was speaking to me. I asked her for specific examples of me speaking rudely to her staff and after she placed me on hold for several minutes, she returned to say that not a single person in her office could provide an example. Ashley was HIGHLY unprofessional, rude, verbally aggressive and frightening. She said all of this while I was in the presence of my young daughter, who was also scared and worried, because she has never heard anyone speak that way. I advised Ashley that the manner in which she was irrationally treating me was triggering to me, due to my abusive past and history of PTSD, and she scoffed and told me to have a nice day. I have honestly never been so confused, hurt, or insulted by anyone who represents themselves as being in the “helping” profession. Ashley did mention through her bouts of screaming that was she losing money and I can only assume that she is coming from a place of stress and I feel badly for her if this is the case. However, the lack of respect that she showed me as a paying patient could not go unnoticed and I wanted others to be aware that she is capable of this aggressive behavior toward her patients. I would never feel comfortable being in Ashley’s presence and would honestly be concerned for my safety. I would give her zero stars if I could."
