Reviews of Dr. John T. Cooper / Optical World Eye Care Center
"Dr. Cooper and staff have been good to me and everything they've done has worked fine."
"Everytime I have been there they were extremely rude. My husband says Rhonda is always friendly and helpful on the phone, but she’s not always there when I go. I ordered contacts through them and when I made my follow up appointment to let the doctor know they were doing ok I told them on the phone I would have my small child with me cause my husband couldn’t take off work. She said it wouldn’t take long so I went ahead and took my toddler up there. I guess they overbooked that day cause the waiting area was packed. I signed in that I was there and sat in the waiting room over 30 mins trying to keep my toddler entertained. All those shelves of glasses are very tempting to a toddler. Finally I decided I would have to leave, so I made my way to the counter and stood patiently a few minutes while they helped the other customer they were currently working with. Once those customers were helped, no one acknowledged me so I just said politely, “ I’m so sorry but I am unable to wait any longer for my appointment. My toddler is not having it. “ I kept standing there still with no acknowledgment. They looked up at me and walked off. I just felt it was appropriate to let them know I had to go versus just leaving. I was not intent on complaining or asking how long it would be. I could see they were overwhelmed. Now my husbands issue..we have eye insurance but nevertheless have already invested about $400 in his glasses. He always has got scratch resistant coating added before, so we ordered the first pair with the scratch resistant. After a couple days, he said the glare on them was horrible if any lights hit them. He called and they said he could add the AR coating. After a few weeks, the frames just broke in half. And my husband has a desk job. And doesn’t do any sports or anything like that. He called and was told to bring them back and warranty would cover. When I dropped them off I received hesitation like they weren’t going to be able to replace them for some reason. After some back and forth, she just said they’d call us. We paid for them to add anti glare this time and they replaced the frames. This was late February. By May my husband said they were scratching up horribly. He only uses that wipe that come in his case to clean them. So he called Rhonda and she told him we could drop them back off. When I got there, was once again told by the other lady that they already replaced those and warranty wouldn’t cover it again. I explained all what has happened and these glasses shouldn’t be scratched. She just looked them over and finally said they’d call us. Today, they called and said they were ready so I picked them up. Fingers crossed I never have to go up there again. It may be a problem with whoever supplies their products, but they can certainly improve on the customer service skills of the front desk personnel."
