"We got hit in a car accident. Medstar came, didn’t want to transport us- he didn’t think we were hurt badly enough. We’ve had medstar membership for 20 years. I was not treated but rode w my husband. So we get 2 bills for $1300 & &1600. I tried to call to see why my membership wouldn’t take care of it and why they billed us both. They acted like they didn’t know. They billed Blue Cross. So what have I been paying for every year??"

"In 59 years I have never done one bad review. This will not go unseen. I have never had to deal with such young inexperienced EMT’s. Very poor experience with 2 of Medstar EMT's. Complete lack of empathy for the patient. One week out of surgery and handled like he was a bag of trash in a sheet. Please teach them how to handle patients. They would not want to be treated or handled in this matter."

"EMTs were great. Their billing service is beyond unacceptable. began getting collection calls a couple of days after getting actual bill. We were on a cruise in Alaska with no service so several, pushy calls had stacked up. On returning talked to them and found that the bill was not overdue."

"(Posted on South Baldwin Hospital Reviews) My experience with this hospital was a lot different from what I have been reading below. I had a heart attack at my home in Orange Beach Saturday at 3am. I called 911 and the police was the first to arrive at my residents within 2 minutes of my call and followed shortly by the fire department who correctly diagnosed me with having a heart attack. The ambulance arrived soon afterwards and transported me while communicating directly to the ER with medical data to South Baldwin Emergency room. I arrived at the emergency room, I was prepped in the emergency room and moved into the “stint room” staffed by Dr.Trice team within eight in a half minutes from arrival time at South Baldwin ER. . I can’t remember the above-mentioned professional’s names but thank you from me and my family. I can remember the ICU staff. Ms. Dawn, Ms. Kayla, and Mr. Bill. You were all wonderful and very caring and took time to put my family at ease with all the questions they had. A special shout out to Ms. Dawn. I can see why you are a nurse and hope always will be. This was a awesome team effort by Emergency responders and South Baldwin Hospital which saved my life."
