"I attended this school a long time ago and there were good moments and especially bad ones. 6th grade was a burn out and 8th grade was a clusterf***. Besides, some of the kids were vile and ill mannered. My third year in 8th grade, there was a clique that played a nasty trick on me and I felt like a pariah. Furthermore, I was placed in Honors classes against my will and I almost flunked them."
"I read the reviews and I cannot relate. I was skeptical at first based on the reviews when my daughter was a 6th grader last year and we experienced nothing but a great school year. She went into the 7th grade this year with an even more optinmistic attitude. Some of the staff has its moments, but I think the school is great. I am an involved parent, academically speaking, and always chat with my daughter about her peers, teachers, bus driver, etc and so far so good. I also know my child and how she reacts to certain situations. I also know how I, as a parent, handles situations when it comes to my child. I have seen parents act a fool with the staff a few times and the staff maintained their level of professionalism and all I could think of if that was me...Oh Lord! All I can suggest is that if you don't like what you see or is going on, make a suggestion or express your concerns with the principal and not the staff. Hope it gets better for some of you and sorry to hear about your bad experiences."
"It is a very good school. We love our teacher and we love the way they teach. We have very good teachers and our staff helps us to be our best and be ready for High School and College. This is one of the best schools around and it has great staff. There aren't many schools out there that are very dedicated to their work as this school."
"I currently go to Legacy Middle School and I would say that it is a fantastic place to learn with great opportunities. I am currently in all 8th grade honors and advanced classes, and know that Legacy Middle school has well prepared me for high school I think that this is a great place to enroll your students. I love all of the teachers and staff at this school, and they truly try their hardest to shape and grow these students in their learning process. I hope your child enjoys it as much as I do. :) Have a great day!"
"We thought this school was a good school until we found out that my son have been bullied and no one from the school informed us about it. My son has autism and he cannot really defend himself. We only found out from reading a class work question about being embarrassed at school. My son wrote "I get embarrassed when I get bullied. Imagine being killed at school by other students." After reading it, we asked him about it and he told us. We then emailed the teachers and found out they have been aware of this for some time. Then yesterday, I was trespassed by the asst. principal for trying to go home! I was on my way out of the school and trying to make a left turn at the left turn lane when the asst principal asked me to go right. I told him I have to make a left because I live that way. He insisted that the light is not working properly but there was a school bus and another parent car right in front of me on the left turn lane! He said that he will trespass me in 5 seconds if I don't make a right. He asked me for my name and I asked him for what. He then looked inside the passenger where my son was sitting and asked if he goes to school there. I answered yes and he told my son he will see him in his office tomorrow to ask him about me. He doesn't need to talk to my son alone in his office to ask about his parent! I called the cops and he called the cops. The first cop to arrive is the one that is usually there so of course he was already on their side. The asst principal told the cops that I was cursing and that he should call Child protective services! I told the cop i never cursed at him and all I was trying to do was to make a left turn like the bus and the car in front of me was about to do. He said that the asst principal had no reason to lie to him and somehow I did! I told him again I never cursed at him.he didn't believe me so he asked my son if I did and my son told him the truth..that I didn't curse! The cop even said it himself that he didn't care about what I had to say, he just wanted me to apologize. I told him I'm not apologizing because I didn't do anything wrong! I could understand if everyone was asked to go right but no, everyone else was able to make a left turn! And since I didn't want to apologize, they trespass me! I'm the one that takes my son to school and I am the one that picks him up! How was that going to work? Now, I am having to take my son to another school because there is no way I am leaving my son there and having him feel unsafe and uncomfortable! My son DIDN'T do anything wrong! Another school staff that was there after the fact said that she knows my son and that he will not feel that way.So a school staff knows my own son who just started at this school 4 months ago better than I do? I tried to complain to the principal and of course, she was on their side too. She even implied that my son's autism had nothing to do with him feeling unsafe and uncomfortable at her school. Lady, IT has everything to do with it! How can I leave my son at a school that doesn't even take his medical condition into consideration??? I have the incident on video but the asst principal didn't want his face on it so trying to see how I can blur him out and then I will post it. Please ask your kids if they were ever called into the office to ask about you! And ask your kids if they were ever bullied because no one told us until we questioned them! I had to click on a star so i can publish it but they don't get no stars from me!"
