"Got this class online for my mom’s 60th Birthday. We showed up about 15 minutes early on the correct day and time. Door was locked and lights were off. I haven’t been able to get a hold of Truffles & Trifles to get my refund ($170). I was super excited for this, but wouldn’t go back. Hoping to get my refund!"
"Stole my money. My husband and I tried a tacos and tequila class in 2022. The class was rescheduled last minute twice which was extremely frustrating as we had to move around our schedule to accommodate. We decided to give the class another chance this year for an appetizer class. This class was rescheduled 2 times. Again, we expressed our frustration is this repeat experience. After the second reschedule we asked for our money back. No response. We sent a follow up email a week later requesting a status on the refund. No response. I am SHOCKED this cooking class stays in business."
"I was looking for a great cooking class and a fun experience! I couldn't have picked a worse place! A couple was there and as the male put his apron on, he found a dirty napkin in 1 pocket and a dead roach in the other! It was so disgusting! How is this place still open? The Board of Health needs to shut this place down! Can negative stars be given? The instructor was not apologetic at all!"
"Don't waste your time or money! Highly disappointing. Registered for a class on a Tuesday, class was re-scheduled without notification and the menu changed. We would not have known about the schedule change unless we had looked on the website. We were NEVER emailed or called about the schedule change. There were almost 30 people in the class which meant that the recipes were divided among all of us. Some people only got to cook one item. There was no instruction, recipes were handed out and we were expected to know exactly what to do. The recipes were missing instructions, like toasting nuts, and the assistant instructor was not kind when she felt we doing something incorrectly. She didn't explain why it was incorrect or how to fix it. The kitchen was unorganized and labeled improperly. Multiple pieces of equipment, like ovens, were broken. There was only one set of oven mitts for the whole class, and no alternatives like kitchen towels. The timing of the cooking was also not taken into consideration, meaning the items that took longer to cook were not assigned out first. By the time all the items were done cooking the meal was cold. Some of the food was inedible"
"We went tonight for Key West theme and had such an amazing time. Agreed with everyone, you're here for the camaraderie and experience vice technical skill, though they definitely had a few great tips to start the class. We had a fun bunch, and made three of the buffet style items, but it was fun to cook with a bunch of other people, and try some absolutely fantastic food! Rushi and her son were tona of fun to meet and learn from and we hope to do another class soon! Also, bring wine [or stop at the taco/margarita spot next door beforehand]!"
