"When my girls entered Orangewood, they were loved on by faculty and staff from the moment the car door was opened. The school provides both honors level and regular class curriculum to challenge students where they're at and also presents instruction from a Christian perspective. While many schools may be able to teach the 3 Rs, at the end of the day it's how people are able to handle and get through the adversity that they will face in life that carries us through those times and Orangewood points them to Christ. This is the reason my girls are at Orangewood. Orangewood also has a Moms In Prayer group on both the elementary and upper campus that meets weekly to pray for our students, families, faculty and staff. My daughter is involved in the volleyball program there. It's a strong program and girls can begin instruction starting in elementary school. The head varsity coach has been coaching volleyball for approximately 30 years and is selfless when it comes to fostering their development offering opportunities for girls to develop their skill year round. As for the negative reviewer of Legacy Volleyball Club that sometimes holds practices at Orangewood, clearly they are inexperienced with how club volleyball works. Also, having a daughter who played at LVC, as well as other volleyball clubs, I wouldn't call a devotion before a game "shoving religion down your throat." The club is privately owned and the review isn't relevant to OCS. Orangewood is a safe, loving environment to send our kids.
