Reviews of Full Sail University
"I have a passion for music and tried to go to this school and was denied because I was a convicted felon. I was trying to turn my life around and make something positive happen for me and my family, Full Sail University I know I be made mistakes and I paid for them but you guys really don’t believe in second chances. I’m Kevin Vincent and I want you guys to know it’s only motivation because with or without you guys I’m going to make it happen."
"Full Sail has been an awesome experience for my son, from admissions to orientation week, and now taking classes. He calls me to share what he is learning in his classes and shares with excitement. The project-based, real-world assignments ignite a thirst for learning and collaboration with his peers. He comments regularly about the professor's goals of teaching the students how to “learn to learn” to prepare for the gaming industry. Understanding the fast pace and ever-changing nature of gaming, the professors want the students to be ready to hit the ground running and have the skills to tackle the demands of the industry. My son has also shared that he looks forward to class and when he has a break during a 4 hour class, he is excited to get back to class to hear what the professor is going to teach. In addition to the long class days, he will spend several hours in the library working on group projects. These demands/expectations are not met with dread but with excitement. When a student gets to chance learn in an area of passion, pared with meaningful assignments, the requirements become challenges and opportunity for growth. I am also impressed with the business seminars that are required in addition to the classes. After only two sessions of classes, he is already thinking about networking and building his portfolio. He attended seminars that have sparked more questions and inspired him to research answers to develop his personal brand. This school is such a refreshing alternative to conventional college. I feel like my son is actually learning valuable information that will be applied to a professional job with skills that employers are seeking."
"Worst school. Not regionally accredited. They keep all the equipment they provide you enrolled under their management program, so even YEARS after you graduate you can’t do anything with it, theft. Yours truly, ex-salutatorian."
"Started in June for a bachelors in music production, it’s good so far but I am going to switch over to audio production because it focuses more on mixing etc than writing. I like the online platform and you can do school work from anywhere. The material is concise you just have to read carefully when doing projects. Overall this school is super fun and academically enriching( I’ve learned a lot in the classes, even the basic classes)."
"Years ago, I applied and was approved. I was meeting my professors online cause I was staying in my state while attending remotely. Upon meeting my professor she proceeds to tell me she doesn’t want students in her intro class (meaning a beginner class) if they don’t have prior experience in game design and dropped me from not only her class, but the entire course. Don’t waste your time with this school."
