"We sent our son here for 2 months for daycare. It was horrible. His teacher that he ended up with was great. That is the only positive thing I can say. There was zero communication. His classroom was switched all the time. I would walk room to room trying to find out who's room he was in. This made drop off take forever. And I always felt uneasy not knowing who's care my child was going to be under. The office staff who I had to walk by would never say a word. The office staff was horrible. The main person was always rude and every time I had an issue and would try to discuss it with her she was super condescending and confrontational. The facility is old and gross. I had to hold my breath Everytime I walked through the gym. My child is too young to use the playground, thank goodness. It was always littered with trash. The first week we were there they lost a bag of my breast milk. I could go on and on. I am not one to write bad reviews, but for the sake of other parents, I felt I had to write this one."
"My child has been attending dayschool here since walking (nearly 4 years). I have always been treated nicely by the staff and so has my child. I like to know who is around my child and therefore speak with everyone; they are all welcoming. Information is shared frequently and done so in a good manner (fund raisers, field trips, programs, homework due dates, etc). It has always felt as though they are keen on a safe enviroment for the children. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a place for thier child to attend."
"I have a three year old and a ten month old. We've been at Baymeadows since my oldest was a newborn. They both love "school" and when my baby's face lights up with joy at seeing her teacher--I know they're in a good place. It is obvious that the teachers love their jobs and love the kids. My three year old has learned so much there and I am excited for both of them to continue to learn and grow at Baymeadows."
"This school is absolutely terrible. The toddler teachers are completely clueless on how to care for children, except Mrs. Gerri in the toddler room (all accidents happened on her day off) She is the only one who actually takes pride in caring for children. The other toddler teachers and teacher aids are completely careless and negligent. In the 4 short months my daughter was enrolled she was sick to the point of hospitalization on numerous occasions. She picked up Ecoli as well as multiple upper respiratory infections due to the carelessness of their sanitizing or should I say, lack there of. The toddler groups is NOT supervised the way they should be. My daughter (who is not even 18 months old yet) was left unattended on a jungle gym to which she fell off of and hit her face on the way down on multiple occasions and the excuse I was given was "she is a toddler and is clumsy" The office did not even contact me after any of the accidents. My child had a head injury and they said "we didn't think it was that bad, didn't want to bother you at work" She has also come home covered in ant bites with dirt and sand in her diaper from being left in the sand to play unattended. I would NEVER recommend sending your child to this daycare, it is NOT worth the money at all. Just because it's a church obviously does not mean they will care for your children like god fearing people should."
"As a former Employee, this daycare would not be my first choice. Most teachers there are great; children with the right teacher there will have strong academic skills, but it’s mainly the people that are in charge of the place I’m more concerned with. The director does not know what she is doing half of the time and I believe the Pastor is in it for the money. There were many incidents were DCF should have been called, but they were not contacted (But proceeded to get mad at employees when they took it into their own hands to make a call to DCF). The per-school children get sick multiple times a year because the facility does not get cleaned/sanitized the correct way, and also by keeping the ill children in contact with the others. There were multiple times the staff-to-child ratio was incorrect (especially with the toddler & baby age group). The campus is very opened as well and unsecured; a child could easily walk off or an unwelcomed visitor could easily come in (Both offices not having someone in them half the time can be scary). I worked there for many years, and hoped to see more progress each year; instead the facility just seems to worsen over the years."
