"I went to see Dr. Benjamin, for the first time, last Monday February 27. I have a few medical issues for what I am seeing specialists for the last three months. I changed recently insurance companies and unfortunately my family doctor was not in the new network; I sought a new family doctor and, thanks God, found Dr. Benjamin. I was diagnosed with Covid on December 22 and had a bad reaction to the virus losing 30 lbs, having extreme fatigue and other problems. Dr. Benjamin listened to my sad Covid experience, noticed my breathing difficulties just by speaking to her and started to layout a strategy to improve my conditions. I was treated like a human being, she took a holistic approach. Before the appointment ended she said to wanted to see a 'fresh' EKG. I have had many taken in the last three months. When the results came, she told me to have spotted a lung embolism from the EKG printout and walked me to the adjacent ER that admitted me on the spot. A clot was found in my right lung and I ended up hospitalized 4 days at West Kendall Baptist Hospital. Now, for days later I can breath a lot better and I feel to be in the path of recovery.
