"I did almost 25 hours of flight here (time building), it was a wonderful experience that taught me a lot... very well organized school and super helpful staff"
"I did my private pilot training in flying academy Miami and had a great experience. My consultant Daniel Contreras was always vigilant and helpful with any situation, as well as the administrative team. Also, my instructor Eliana was very professional, responsible and committed."
"Had a very good experience with the flight school. Well-experienced Instructors and friendly staff. Also provided us with cozy accommodation during our stay. No complaints with the Airplanes either, they were well maintained. I can definitely recommend the Flight school to anyone who is interested in starting their pilot career."
"My experience with Flying Academy has been extremely disappointing, leaving me frustrated and regretful of my decision to choose them for my flight training. From the very beginning, there were red flags that should have warned me against proceeding with this school. I initially contacted them two months before my training was set to begin, aiming to convert my foreign CPL Pilot's license to an FAA License. The promises made during numerous emails and phone calls seemed promising, but unfortunately, the reality was far from it. After several conversations and a video call with the owner and sales, I was told that the conversion process would take about 10 days, requiring a mere 6 hours of flying (3 hours for Instrument Rating and 3 hours for Commercial Multi). Naively, I trusted this information and believed I was making the right choice. As I made the deposit and prepared to begin my training, I quickly realized that my inquiries and requests were going unanswered. Upon arrival at the school, my suspicions were confirmed – no flights, exams, or checkrides had been scheduled. The disorganization was startling, and it was clear that the promises made earlier were just empty words. Things went from bad to worse. Contrary to what I was initially told, the flight instructors now informed me that I would need around 30 hours of flying, a stark contrast to the initial 6 hours. This unrealistic requirement simply couldn't be met within the promised 10 days. To add insult to injury, the multi-engine aircraft that I was supposed to fly had been involved in an accident over a month prior to my arrival. Shockingly, no one had thought to notify me, and no alternative plan had been put in place. The days turned into weeks of inactivity due to the lack of available aircraft and examiners as well as the slack work ethic from the operational team. Despite numerous discussions with the school's team, it became evident that they lacked any sense of urgency, responsibility, or transparency. Their negligence reached a peak when I contacted the owner himself for assistance, only to find him unresponsive and unwilling to address the situation, until advised him that I will be taking legal action. The only saving grace of this ordeal has been the flight instructors, who have shown genuine dedication and a willingness to help. Unfortunately, their efforts are undermined by the gross incompetence and poor work ethic of the school's administration and management. I was not the only student in the situation, but aware of 2 other students having the same struggles as myself with dealing with this flight school. Just pure gross incompetence and poor work ethic. In conclusion, I strongly CAUTION anyone considering Flying Academy to think twice before enrolling. The school's promises are empty, communication is virtually nonexistent once you pay your fees, and their aircraft are consistently in maintenance. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend exploring other flight training options to avoid the frustration and disappointment that I have encountered at this school."
