Reviews of Hammocks Middle School
"Well I never went here. My uncle and my mom went here in 1991. I have the year book of this school and it’s crazy to think how long ago it was. All the photos in black and white. I’m now in my last year of middle school. I was going through storage boxes when I found this. The principal was Ms. Althea King. I don’t know if she still is the principal there. Maybe not. I just wanted to share that with you guys. Even though I have never seen this school before it nice to think that my mom and uncle went here and made friends. And everything is different. :)"
"Puberty was not a fun time here. Lots of fights here, incompetent staff, terrible administration, and a whole lot of social hierarchy. If you have several cool friends from Elementary, then it will be an easy transition, otherwise good luck. I can say I had fun too since lunches were pretty good, homework was not hard, dating was cute, friendships were temporary, and you begin to learn what it feels to be teen before high school. Also, if your kid plans on coming here, they should expect drama, no matter how pity it is lol. All in all, not that bad of a school, but it does toughen you up for the next stage afterwards."
"I'm in my first year in this school. All the teachers are pretty nice. But if you want a good expirience you have to choose the right kids to hang ou with. I like all my teachers, classes, staff. They're all pretty nice. Altough I can say that some teachers give some people detentions for no reason like standing up or stupid things like that. Overall, it's a good school and I don't understand why people think it's such a bad school. 10/10 would definitely recommend."
"Honestly I wouldn't recomend this school. The staff and teachers are too strict ,rude, mean, and give detentions for no apperent reason and without a warning. At first you might feel comfortable in this school but after a week or two it's easy to get annoyed by the horrible treatment by the teachers. The school is usually clean everywhere except bathrooms, the spill out,and the cafeteria. I'm in the first year and I'm already planning to go to another school. Most bathrooms are usually locked the whole day except for one which is the dirtiest and most disgusting of all. Water bottles were banned because one kid had the awful idea of bringing alcohol in the bottle and ruining it for all of us. There's also to much bulling and discrimination at this school. Kissing and holding hands are banned and there's a three second rule for hugging, touching someone,or putting your arms around anyone. The kids at this school are irresponsible and careless. In order to get to your class you need to push and squeez through the stampede of people . These are just a few of the many imperfections of the school. I'll honestly say that I do not whatsoever recomend this school to anyone and the only reason I stayed throughout the year was because of my friends. I hope this helped you somehow and good luck!"
