Reviews of Pinecrest Preparatory Academy Middle/High School
"Terrible school when you stand up to help other students you are instantly in trouble. You get detentions for little things instead of a parent phone call. They are trying to ruin your kids records dont bring them here you will regret it my son has gotten 2 detention for talking and standing up. This is unfair and i hope they see this and improve there system"
"If you go here long enough you get a good support system and teachers that care for you. There are some things that miss but in the end it doesn't really matter cause it can really shape you up into a good person with discipline. I won't lie i didn't do the best I could here in my later years, But I realized the school had a huge influence on me over the 6 years I stayed there and honestly it wasn't too bad."
"I was at PPMH from 6th to 12th grade and I can confidently say that I had no major complaints during my 7 years there. Of course like every school it has its little flaws here and there as they make changes to try and improve the school but absolutely nothing that would hinder a student’s education or the opportunities provided by PPMH. Although they do focus more on the STEM program and corresponding clubs, they do offer a pretty wide variety of extracurriculars in the arts as well - if not, the process to start a new club is not super difficult either. As a PPMH alumni that was not interested in any STEM subject, I was still able to graduate with honors and my associates degree so regardless of career aspirations this school strives to see you succeed. The faculty and staff are very supportive and feel more and more like family after every year you’re there. Most, if not all, of the teachers are passionate and care for students as if they were their own children. They create a safe space for their students not only for learning but for anything else students may need. While the campus is a bit small for 6-12 grade, it’s beneficial for students to be able to create a tight-knit community with their classmates and PPMH’s staff. Overall, while people can have their certain complaints about PPMH (and some, but not all, may be valid) the school provides a good education and great opportunities for its students. What needs to be considered is how and if the students decide to use these opportunities. The resources are there and are openly offered to everyone - the school is only as good as you make of it."
"Excellent choice of school. I highly recommend it! To say that my experience at PPMH exceeded my expectations would not be enough to express my gratitude. I love the school security, the quality of the classes, the warm family environment, their enthusiasm, the excellent parent-teacher communication and the professionalism of the administrative staff. The Principal, Ms. Estrada, has done an amazing job, but her best leadership quality is by far her human side. I have had specific requests for my son, and she (and everyone at the school) made everything possible to make sure my he felt comfortable, loved, happy, and accepted. We will forever be part of the PPMH family."
"Extremely helpful. This school is honestly underrated, don't be distracted by the reviews, take into consideration the reputability of their sources, which are most likely students who are failing/ were forced to attend by parents. The teachers and staff are super easy to communicate with if you approach them. The teachers actually put effort, and you will pass your classes with flying colors if you give them the time of day. This school may be new, but it seeks to make an positive impact on your child's academic future."
