"After attending PGA for about 5 years, I’ve never been so deprived of simple classroom and peer respect till I realized what I was missing out on when I transfered to another school. This school cares for finance more than the wellbeing of its students. I’ve never seen a day where someone is truly happy to be in PGA and attending class. Don’t get me wrong, this school can improve jurastically if it were to listen to the students within it. It’s just a shame that that idea is simply hypothetical."
"Pinecrest Glades even though they have a new principle, the lack of support and teachers that don't care still remains for secondary. They hire teachers based on what they need not caring how bad that teacher might be in what they are getting hired to teach. The class #'s for secondary specially HS, are so small because the school is not that great so is hard for them to kept students and maintain the same # of students they have for elementary and middle. Those parents that end up staying or any new parents it will be great if they don't care staying at a school the works so poorly . Now secondary started having different events for their students which they never had. The school is starting slowly but in order for it to be the school it needs to be, it will take them maybe another 2 years or more specially for Highschool. The classes are mix and they have never had classes just for gifted students only in Elementary. The way Glades prepare the students is not as great and instead of the teachers working with your child it seem like they are working against them and they don't care if they perform . Is more negative feedback than positive. I get there's no such thing as perfect school or excellent teachers, but when a teacher cares, it will show at the end no matter what challenges came along for that student. Another thing grades are posted late, the teachers add all this grades but it ends up hurting more the students average. When a parent try to find way to help their child, teacher don't care to help and if they end up helping are student that those teacher get along with or parent that get along well with administration. Anything in that school that is brought to administration things are brushed off and they try to covered up their teachers by saying they are amazing or no complains have ever been brought up . No respect but just plain rudeness. The counselors at the school ( 1 for middle and 1 for Hs) not helpful at all and they don't work with the students.) Glades has a few teachers that I don't get how they are still teaching with so many complains past and even now . At the end no matter what the school might start offering or even something new which they never had an Academic pathway they need to improve in many different areas and find teacher that know how to teach what they are offering to those students and right coaches for some of those sports that are offered which is another area they lack because they can't find people that want to coach some of those sport that school wants to start offering . I wouldn't recommend the HS at Glades. There are better options out there for charter schools or even magnet school. Glades still needs a lot of guidance. Best of luck!"
"My review on PGA is a great one, this was our first year at this school and I’m very satisfied. I’ve been able to volunteer so I’ve met many teachers as well as staff members and they have been great, I haven’t had any issues with anyone. Everyone has been super friendly. My little one has learned a lot and is also happy which is a very important thing to me. The teachers make learning fun for the kids and they have many events that parents can volunteer in, such as cafeteria aid to Hispanic heritage week to book fairs, field trips, etc. Elementary, middle, and high school students are in separate buildings. Traffic has been an issue for parents but they have a pickup system that’s organized and safe for kids."
"My son has been going to PGA for 6 years and he has had a great experience. I like the fact that they' have high starlndards for academics. My son has had truly amazing teachers through the years. Since he's in middle school now I hope that they start adding more sports and activities for middle and high school. Overall great school."
