"We had our wedding at Pao. We rented out the entire restaurant and patio. It is the most magical location. Our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing the food is at Pao. This space is truly a piece of luxury."
"Service was amazing, they were super attentive and went above and beyond to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately for the price though the food was not up to par. The fried chicken was the nicest dish, with a delicate Thai basil flavour. The most disappointing dish for us was the Singapore chilli crab - which is normally a delicious blend of chilli and sweet - this crab was so overpowered by vinegar and did not taste of anything else, it may as well have been salt and vinegar crab. The Wagyu tteok-bokki was done very western style, with the coconut milk making it really bland with small pieces of tough meat to accompany. If you are looking for more western style Asian food maybe you’d like this as a choice, but most of the dishes were just tasting of Thai basil rather than Chinese/Korean"
"The Ora king salmon was our absolute favorite - the seared sake toro melts in your mouth as well as the Ora king salmon dish with pineapple all of the flavors explode in your mouth. To finish our favorite dessert was the coconut sorbet half shell! 10/10 experience between food and ambiance, we sat outside which was quieter than inside. Be ready to spend $$$$ though!"
"We came here because of Chef Pao. Each single dish Olga picked based our preference just fits our taste of buds perfectly. We enjoyed each bit of It. Pao is the chef who definitely knows how to cook, not just rely on the dish representation. We definitely want to come back."
"Inside of the Faena hotel close to south beach proper but far enough removed it’s not wild. I think this is a restaurant which is more about the experience than the food. From the time you walk inside you are treated very well, the lobby of the hotel has really pretty art work and you kind of feel like you’re in a modern art museum. The restaurant is on the second floor and the inside part is small but quaint. The bar isn’t much but the ambience is really set nicely. The service was what I was hoping for, top notch and mostly everyone was dressed to impress. The food itself is where the restaurant had areas of opportunity. It bills itself as a “Asian fusion” but usually that would mean Chinese/Korean upscale dining with a American twist. This menu included Indian dishes which seemed odd to be on a “Asian fusion” menu. Then half the menu is Japanese is done to death in Miami. But there were great dishes I tried such as the fried chicken which were little bites with mint, basil and cilantro. The Bronzino fish with white rice was amazing and I didn’t try other parts of the menu. So definitely worth a visit if you’re in the south beach area and want good food with great service and upscale atmosphere."
