"Short version (or disclaimer): Forget comparing it to European Michelin-starred restaurants; Miami lacks enough places like this: spectacular food, attentive and knowledgeable service, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere without being overly showy. Long version: We've wanted to visit this place for a long time and were lucky enough to finally make it. We regularly checked the website for availability, and when a spot opened up, we didn't hesitate. Upon arrival, we were immediately shown to our seats. The space is small and has a relaxed vibe, with a few tables and a bar. We sat at the bar, right in front of where the dishes are prepared. If you enjoy watching the magic of cooking, I recommend requesting this spot. The service was excellent. Our server welcomed us warmly and expertly explained each menu item, tempting us to order everything but advising that three dishes per person are the ideal amount. She was spot on. We followed her recommendations and ordered a bottle of wine. Note that the cocktails are wine-based, as they don't serve liquor, and water service costs one dollar. Must-order dishes include the steak tartare, polenta sticks with eggplant, candy-shaped pasta, and foie gras tortellini. Carrot cake for dessert? There's only one reason it's on the menu: it's OUTSTANDING. Perfectly moist. And the Tiramisu is the best I've had in years."

"fantastic. the service, food & environment were top notch. they listen & go above and beyond with hospitality. my personal favorites were the steak tartar, sunchoke pasta & tiramisu. (do not skip on these!!) the salad that everyone raves about is just a regular salad in my opinion. cant wait to come back & also try their sister restaurant walrus rodeo! thank you for an incredible dinner experience"

"Such a hidden gem! I loved the character of this restaurant, hole in the wall, unusual, but lovely. I enjoyed seating at the bar and enjoy my food with some amazing wine. I appreciate the sommelier tasting each wine before actually serving it to ensure quality. Also the willingness of the staff to accommodate us even without reservations. Last but not least, the food quality was superb. The sizes were perfect and the food was shareable. Everything was absolutely delicious."
