"Lovely staff, very attentive and caring. The food is out of this world especially the carne asada and gallo pinto. 10/10 highly recommended you will not be disappointed!"
"Great experience. I needed some Spanish food in my life and this hit the spot. The quest frito (fried cheese) melts in your mouth. The gallo pinto is definitely the rice you want. It’s family owned which made the service sincere and awesome. This place is a GEM!"
"Been going to Fritangas my whole life and this one is special. Good clean atmosphere with high quality food and all the Nica flavors. Perhaps one of the best “carne asada” aka “churrasco Nica style” I’ve had. Cheers to them."
"We walked in only really wanting to order some take out but the atmosphere and food looked so great that we decided to stay. Food was delicious and authentic. The owners are super nice and are Nicaraguan. The dining area is small but comfortable. This place is so clean and well kept. We will definitely be back."
"I'm very happy this spot opened up here a week ago as there are hardly any Nicaraguan spots nearby. Full disclosure, I'm of Honduran heritage, I've spent months in Nicaragua and I grew up eating at Pinolandia regularly so I might come off as being tough on them but overall, I'm happy and will come again. To start off, the carne asada and queso Frito were good and tasty but at $14 for the carne asada, it's a little pricey for a Nica spot considering that the portions were not as generous as Pinolandia. They served short grained rice in the Gallo pinto which was unexpected, I didn't mind it but my wife felt more strongly about it. I was a little disappointed in the little container of salad they gave me because at other spots, they usually give me a bag of salad containing at least 5X the quantity. The service was friendly and everything was clean. It's a small spot and I see it holding less than 20 people. I'm giving this spot 5 stars because it was tasty, friendly and nearby but due to portion size and price, I can't see myself visiting as frequently as I would Pinolandia. *Update: I came back earlier this week and was happy to see that they took my feedback into account. They now give bigger portions of the salad and are serving it in the typical bags. The owner is so nice and personable."
