"I went in to grab my pickup order and was not greeted by anyone and then proceeded to wait to be acknowledged for an awkward amount of time by the female bar tender that was present. When I was finally acknowledged there was no “Hi how are you?” or pleasantries at all just a stale “Can I help you?”. I said I had a pick up order and then she walked away to grab it. When she returned with the order I proceeded to check to see if the sauces I asked for over the phone with male employee when I called to place my order with & I at first did not see them. I asked if I could have the sauces to which she responded “it costs extra” and I said “no I spoke with a gentleman on the phone who told me to ask for it if he forgot when I came in. I am not paying for extra sauce.” She disregarded what I said and then shoved a receipt in front of me saying “sign here.” So I asked again for my sauces because I felt ignored with her just moving on to the next part of the transaction. She then says “it’s in there.” I told her it was not. Shook the sauces to show here they were watery like soy sauce and I asked for eel sauce which is thicker. She walks away and gets another employee (most likely the male I spoke to on the phone when placing my order) and he says “your sauce is in there under those.” I double checked and I had one container of eel sauce for my 2 people sushi boat order. So I ask again for another sauce (because logically two people need two sauces for a BOAT of sushi). He, almost with reluctant energy, grabs me another sauce. I still tipped them because I have worked in the industry many years but their attitudes and customer service is below subpar. Plus it’s Valentines Day maybe smile? Or pretend to be happy around customers for three sake of your tips at least."
"This place has been around for a number of years under the same ownership and the food is always delicous with friendly service. Stopped in for a quick dinner and tried the Pad Kee Mow, it was full a flavor with plenty of fresh veggies. I will be ordering this dish again."
"Kiko Sushi is located at The Fountains in Plantation FL. The outside of the building is unassuming, however, inside is nicely decorated. We were seated promptly by the hostess, who was also our waitress. She was very pleasant but her English wasn't the best so there was a slight communication issue. The place needed to be cleaned though (see pic of carpet. We also had to change booths as the one we were seated in had paper all over the floor and the table wasn't wiped). The miso soup was delicious. I had one of the chef's special for the main course (Ocean's Castle), which was okay. It was a little bland in terms of flavour profile. I think if they had drizzled the sauce on top of it, it would've added more depth of flavour. Overall though, I would buy it again. My friend enjoyed her meal as well (the garden salad and double dragon roll). There were only two waitresses on the floor that doubled as hostesses and bartenders. Our waitress was pretty much all over the place. My friend was more than halfway through her meal before her drink arrived. I cancelled my cocktail because I had finished eating and that killed my vibe. They have drink specials each day and I had ordered one of them, only to be told (way after I finished eating) that they didn't have it. Not the greatest experience service wise but food and ambience wise, I would recommend it based on that."
"The restaurant is intimate with both private booths and tables. Its only drawback is that it’s tucked away in the Fountains shopping plaza in Plantation, but it’s a real gem! The food was savory and prepared just right! As far as the service, it was superb!"
"If you want a flavorful yummy, tasty amazing salmon sushi roll! Get the burned fish roll! Now that’s out of the way let’s get to the review. I had a craving for sushi and this place popped up. It already had good reviews and when we drove by it was not super busy. We had the gyoza dumplings good taste and the sauce was pretty good. Also had the spring rolls, they came out hot with its own tasty sauce. My daughter had regular miso soup. She liked it My wife had seafood miso she liked it I thought it was ok. The kiko mule was soo good I enjoyed it to the last drop. My wife had a lycheetini it was special good. In addition we had a gin and tonic. Also well made. My sons miso ramen came out and he almost eat every thing…. Nice thick pieces of pork, veggies. And noodles. Then the sushi came out. My daughter got her sushi the magic roll it came out on fire! She liked it Then my wife’s roll came out it was the hot mess roll - she REALLY liked it. Like she is now convinced this is our new sushi spot. I had the burned fish roll and it was worth everything!! As stated earlier it was super yummy tasty and flavorful. Definitely worth getting again and again !"
