"Just went there today. I am a Trini and I honestly don’t know how anyone could rate this place. The food quality is poor and the curry is bland and tasteless. The LC pepper sauce is good though. But worse than the food was that no one wore gloves, even while handling both the food AND money. We cringed when we saw that and won’t be back."
"Listen to me people. I stopped by to get some patties but the place was closed... ("Martin Luther Kings Birthday") I noticed that the Roti Shop was open. I sent my son in to order two roti and guess what? That's the best roti I have eaten in years... Trust me...you guys need to check this place out!"
"This is a lovely Trini “mom & pop” style restaurant and it’s one of my faves in Miami. I don’t know what I like better; the roti or the doubles. The food is so good and the prices are great too. To note it’s pretty small inside, not a lot of seating but you can sit around the kitchen bar. Please BRING CASH! When I say this is “mom & pop” style, it really is even down to only taking cash. Grab a glass of sorrel and enjoy!"
"I don’t know about all the 5 star reviews but I’ve had authentic Trinidadian food and this was NOT it. The doubles dough is not cooked properly, not to mention it has no flavor, the aloo pie is even worse, The Roti isn’t horrible but definitely not what it’s suppose to be, lacking a lot of flavor. I personally would not eat here again."
"Very clean. And the owner is such a sweetheart. She’s cracking jokes , and the food tastes good. I’m Haitian and It was my first time having trini food. Finally tasted doubles!!!! And the roti is big. You will definitely be full. No deliveries. Everything is prepared right there in front of you. Only cash. Worth every penny!"
