"The daytime staff was excellent! Very professional and went above and beyond to make sure my wife who was 4 days postpartum and had to get rushed to the hospital due to preeclampsia which we never knew she had throughout the pregnancy feel comfortable. If we had any questions during the process they were answered and they really made you feel that they cared about the patients and enjoyed their job. The overnight staff was the most unprofessional and disrespectful group of medical professionals that I have ever been around. From ignoring their patient to actually walking in the room and start complaining about doing their job. They even lied about things to make their point justified when they’re completely wrong. Very egotistical and disrespectful group of people. It’s sad how one bad apple can spoil the bunch. If it wasn’t for the overnight staff we had the displeasure of dealing with this would’ve easily been a 5 star review."

"Went in for an allergic reaction which I have a history for, eyes were swollen as well as throat. Treated horribly at this location and it's not the first time either. Staff is consistently rude, doesn't listen to patient concerns seriously, they def have some sadistic people working there cause there's no reason I should be stuck with an IV over four times. Called the nurses on the phone after sitting there for over 3 hours and she hung up on me. Not attentive staff made me super scared and left with a higher BP than when I came in. Again went in for an allergic reaction which I have a history of and they kept me for hours looking for "other things" then sent me home saying it's just a sore throat. Didn't send me home with any medication. Now I'm back home and my eyes are swelling up again! Just do yourself a favor and go elsewhere or to the st Vincent's in st Johns. This place deserves 0 stars!!"

"Filthy ER (dead bugs), dirty bathrooms including in operating rooms. I spent one night after orthopedic surgery. I had a newly graduated nurse without competent supervision, a danger to his post-op patients. For 10 hours, forgot to use pneumatic device for to prevent clotting post op until I asked him why it was missing. Forgot to monitor intake & output. No TP in the bathroom so he left me there alone with the door shut, in a drugged state unable to reach call light. Couldn’t replace ice pack to control swelling since they didn’t have enough packs. When I finally got one, I woke up with it still on 3 hours later, which can cause frostbite. I asked for pain medicine that was due, but he said it wasn’t due for an hour-a long time for someone with post surgical pain. I asked him to go & verify. I was right. The MD had said it was very important to ambulate on the day of surgery to prevent blood clots. I asked to be helped up but the nurse said he was too busy. Physical Therapy was also too busy. The nurse & technician both managed to bump my foot hard. Excruciating. Did not check my dressing for 3 hours until I asked. Did not seem to know how to get a patient with a walker up to the bathroom safely…like disconnect all connected machines first. Nursing staff were joking and laughing loudly all night long in the nurses’ station, oblivious to the suffering of the patients in their care. I did not sleep at all. You can get create an operating room anywhere, but must be in a hospital for nursing care. Ascension St Vincent’s endanger their patients with poorly trained, indifferent staff. It’s all about leadership. My surgeon has a great reputation, but except for the surgery, I must deal with minimally trained physician assistants. In the future I will find a surgeon with privileges elsewhere."

"This hospital has some of the friendliest and caring staff that you will meet. They have a really nice Birthing Center and NICU also. I’ve noticed many efforts towards improvements on updating the building itself in recent years and currently. The grounds have many mature trees and beautiful landscaping. Security patrols all areas and will assist visitors in need from the parking lots."
