"This is the 3rd and final comment i'll be leaving for this school. They've been a huge disappointment ever since they opened as an elementary school into transitioning into a middle school. My daughter was in Ms. Rodriguez's class. She is a new special needs teacher there. The IEP coordinator is also new. He seemed genuinely concerned but, since polk county doesnt have much funding, from what I've been told, receiving necessary services became an impossible venture. My daughter suffered trauma and abuse as a child that she revealed about 6 months ago. She had panic attacks in schools and wasnt able to focus on her work due to the bullying that went on while attempting to transition her into regular ed classes. Nothing was done to help her or reprimand the bullies. The social worker, after multiple attempts to contact her via email, phone calls and even reaching out to her superiors, never reached out to me. Instead she asked the regular ed school counselor to call me back to offer help. However, she wasnt well informed on services or resources for children with autism. My daughter was aggressively bullied while waiting for the school bus and for a child suffering from depression and anxiety, it pushed her over the edge and began to self harm at home and refused to go back to the school. Her teacher, Ms. Rodriguez, was very rude and passive when I came to her to speak on my child's anxiety to come to school. She assumed she knew the reason, and reacted with a huge huff and a sigh and threw her hands up as if she was annoyed by my daughter's issues. She kept repeating "I don't know what you want me to do.." with an unconcerned and rude tone. There's no control over bullies, no support system in place for ESE children, no help to keep kids transitioning out of ESE safe, no one is aware of services or resources available to ESE children. Every year has been an issue and I decided to homeschool until we can move to seminole county. Everything in this post was just her 7th grade experience."

"99 percent there will be a fight or more a month. They separate girls and boys at lunch. Your not allowed to go to the restroom during class time at all due to the 7th graders. Kids are smoking Marijuana in the bathroom. The teachers are great. Cockroaches jumped my friend Jenna."

"Lake Marion the staff there except the police which was very nice.... the staff is so rude and conniving and unjust. If you going to keep having my child bullied and threaten only her that she is getting arrested I will sure get the entire media and the school board involved. I will wrap that school system up with so much litigation that your great grandchildren are going to need lawyers! This is it and this is final! All year long you have not done ANYTHING to deescalate the threats and the outrages filthy verbal abuse these kids are saying to my child and to make matters worse, you sit there and do nothing! This is why your school is graded as an F school.... Thank God I have a lot of teachers and principals in Colorado that is welcoming my own with open arms and to provide them a EXCELLENT education more than your school ever provides! Mark my words if something happens to MY CHILD, you all wil reap the benefits of being sued!! I will let the media know and also I the attorney also knows about this issue! Mark my words!"

"The School is horriable Kids are Really Mean , Cursing , Fights and Rude Kids Spread Rumors about me Saying I Stink,need to take a shower etc. I only made a couple of friends. Also When You Get to 8th grade its Really Stressful and They Become more Strict about the cell phone policy But When Your In 6th Grade They Let You Play On Your Electronic Devices I Just Dont Get It. So Yea And Some Teachers Are Rude. I Honestly Hate This School And I Cant Wait To Move..."

"This (F) rated school system is a joke! Around 90% of the staff just attend for a paycheck not to be a good teacher and make a positive impact which is what they signed up for those good teachers are like trying to find a needle in a haystack good luck with that task! The way that they teach the students from normal respect to academically is absolutely mind blowing a great tribute to our already messed up society thanks! This will be my children's last yr 100% I do not care if I had too work 10 jobs there education and selfesteam is worth every penny! And any parent reading this if you can manage to home school its a wayyyy better option just sayn . The racist, Narcistic, non caring behavior promoted by even the staff again blows my mind! My children didn't know half as much about hatred and disrespect until being forced to deal with even 2 yrs of this school system is way more then any parent or child should ever endure well enough is enough dam lawless heathens! Now comes the task to make all the wrongs rite again that were tought and learned from these schools as my younger son goes to laurel and it's the same nonsense!
