"I went there for the first time with my little brother to try something different. It doesn't take much to please me but went because my Little brother said it was good we got there and was seated it was busy it was on a Sunday I understand that but our waitress can you maybe 10 minutes later to bring you after that do you even get water to drink cook I don't know how long then another customer came and sat at her seat immediately God drinks got food while we were yet waiting for it must have taken a hour and 30 minutes before we got our food Overall experience I will never go back. I would say maybe it's because of a different race we were but I spoke Spanish so I understood but still the treatment was like a delay to get our drinks to get our food we waited and I was beyond hungry and it took too long everyone else that came after me received their food and was done eating by the time we got our food."
"La Union Margate. I frequently go to this location rather than the original on Wiles Road, only a mile away, because it has more seating and a bigger kitchen that can offer more things. I do notice that they get less breakfast traffic, so if you come in on a late Saturday or Sunday morning, it will be nowhere near as crowded as the original location. I originally tried to go to the Wiles one — and with the Dia de los Muertos holiday approaching many people were lined up, trying to buy baked goods and also the tables were filled with people waiting for takeout at the original so I immediately turned and went to the Margate one. I ordered a chorizo and egg torta sandwich, which was excellent as usual. Rachel got a Sope con Barbacoa and also we ordered a Champurrado which is a type of atole (corn-thickened) hot chocolate drink with spices. Traditionally, this is served with churros or bread for dipping. Churros that are served here are actually Dulce de Leche so the interior gets a wetter texture even when it is hard fried, so just be aware of that."
"I've ordered take out a couple of times because of the Pozole. In our first visit our son wanted a chocolate chip cookie. We added it to our food order and paid. However, while waiting for our food, we noticed flies inside where the breads are stationed. Which happens to be where the cookie was at. We ended up throwing out the cookie because of this. In our 2nd take-out visit this evening, 09/30/23, and while waiting on our food, I noticed a Raid can sitting on top of a stove that is to the right of the cashier's wall. I noticed the cashier place a take-out order on top of this unused stove, right next to the Raid can!! The main prep and cook area is to the left of this stove. And in very close proximity to the unused stove. We get home and start unpacking the soups and accompanying ingredients. I unravel the tostadas and discovered what clearly appears to be left overs of someone's previous meal. I've attached the photo for reference. I am now truly disgusted and appalled at the audacity and lack of hygiene from this place. Please. Do not eat here. I can't even believe this place hasn't been hit with any violations or closures! The service is slow. The dine in area is tight. And it's pricey compared to other similar locations in the area."
"Authentic mexican restaurant, you can find delicious and authentic mexican food, casual, good service. I’ve been going to the original one (La Union Bakery) for many years and never has disappointed me, neither la Union Bakery II, I love their enchiladas, this time I asked for a enchiladas “divorciadas” which has green and red sauce. If you like note spicy they got you. Also I have to add their bread is really good, concha’s, pan de muerto, rosca de reyes are my favorites. And they also serve Micheladas, beer with spicy sauces and lime."
