"I wish I can give this school zero stars if you are a staff member be ready for racist situation with the all white staff leaders. They also don't care if you get hurt on the job Children eat the same thing every single day they have to earn food like ketchup on they chicken nuggets they also don't get anything to drink. They lie about every single thing complete joke if I had a child with autism or a behavioral problem I would never put them in this school they can't play on the playground or go to any of the fun rooms literally like prison for kids ! The school is so dirty do not let these head teachers Brittany, Bryan Jason, Katie, fool you it's a whole front to get kids in the school."
"Lodestone Academy is an awesome place for children with ASD. Since ASD has many different aspects to it, each child is different, some more severe than others. The school takes all ages of children. I love Lodestone because my son feels at peace there. He is six years old now and has been attending the school for 2 years or more. Before Lodestone, I tried homeschooling my son, as I did my daughter. He received speech therapy through Early Steps as he was developmentally delayed. He has a myriad of other health problems, but as his Mom, I deal with those issues and feel that it should not interfere with his education or make him feel any different than any other kid. I raise him to believe in himself and to know that learning something new takes time for anyone. Given all that, I couldn't get him to read, write, color, or draw. He likes playing, but has no sense of danger (he's a runner). Within a month of attending Lodestone, he was reading basic words. I was overcome with joy when he read to me for the first time. I am still amazed that he can read larger words and up to level 2 books, maybe more. He has mastered single digit addition and has moved on to learning double digits. I know that to some of you this is slow, but to a mother of an ASD/ADHD child, this is amazing and a great accomplishment as this is a true struggle for him. Even his handwriting is improving and he colors beautifully. He is a bit of a perfectionist, so it is hard for him to be OK with what he can do, I am beaming with pride however. Lodestone Academy is the reason for this."
