"Dowdell is a HORRIBLE school the teachers there are VERY rude and obnoxious, all the kids act very badly they try to jump kids and start fight at the school, this school has massive lock downs and lock ins, the guidance counselor won’t even let a child go home if there is no reason to go home, the nurse is a total lier because she doesn’t know what she is doing about anything when kids go down to the nurses office she does nothing but send them home and for my daughters problem, I came down to the office to pick up my child and they wouldn’t even let me see her. This school is a disasterous mess. I recommend that no body go here. Dowdell nurse said that my daughter was fine and everything but when my daughter came home she did the thing that the nurse said she wouldn’t do I mean where did this nurse get her license from!!! There was a gun found on campus from a student. And no body informed me as her mother or my husband. There is no way that my child will ever go to this school again the school suck the teachers suck the students suck and even the office people suck!!!! I hate this school and if you go here trust me you will hate it to. If u want your daughter/son to be involved with fighting or in danger of getting shot I recommend that your child not going to this school. They won’t let your child go home or anything so whatever you do don’t take your child to this school. I can write soooooooooo much more but i don’t have the time to waste on a crusty dusty looking school such as this school but all I have to say is that this school is a good environmental school but the stuff that happens here is such a disappointment the boys at this school are also sexual and inappropriate. But the teachers don’t do a damn thing about it that’s the sand part. The sad thing is that the teachers can be nice at times but when they see a child skipping class or fighting they do nothing about it. I searched on YouTube “dowdell kids fighting” and it showed all the kids fighting at school. If you search on google “dowdell kid brings gun to school” you will see the news report on how a kid brought a gun to school and didn’t even inform the parents about it so DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"While the caliber of student leaves a little to be desired, my daughter is attending her third year at this school and I love it. The teachers are wonderful and engaged. The principal and his staff are wonderful and making constant improvement."
