Seminole State College - Altamonte Springs Campus

"Trying to enroll is a mission. I started EARLY, got everything i needed done on my end. Classes start Monday and the Financial aid office still hasn’t completed my information. I’m now expected to pay out of pocket even though i have a grant that says “accepted” but the reps on the phone state it doesn’t matter. The EServices dept when you call sounds like a bunch of younger adults who work from home and don’t have much information or solutions to your issues or concerns. I had a lady whose younger children were crying in the back and she was giving me condescending responses to my questions. The attitude these reps give you is so unprofessional. I was done with everything i needed in June! We’re in August and I’m footing the bill because they can’t complete things in time. I cannot even imagine how the classes are going to be."

"Every class I have ever taken has been great and all professors have been extremely helpful. My only complaint is the front desk, I know that when I call I will be on hold for at least 10-30 mins before anyone ever answers the phones. I work everyday and can't waste 30 mins of my day for a 10 min conversation or for them to transfer me to another place and wait another 30 mins to gain help. The call back option is not true I have used that 4-5 times and never gotten a call back. The teachers are helpful and full of great information and I have learned a lot about the subjects that I have taken in the last couple years. I also want to say that the staff is great once someone picks up the phone but 10-30 mins every time I call is is ridiculous!"

"Trying to enroll in one of the courses, not much info on the website...called and spoke with Mindy.....she was not helpful and said they dont emails with information about the courses!!! haha that must be a JOKE !!!!! very disappointing. If this is their first approach, imagine the type of service when you're already enrolled. I won't take the risk. Valencia college treated me decently! I am choosing them"

"The process of getting everything set up and their financial aid system are terrible. I'm at risk of having my classes removed due to them not being efficient with passing doccuments in which I had already given. Most of their staff are rude and their help desk has you asking constantly if you have been passed mainly due to your name dissappearing every 6 minutes form their moniter showing everyone in line. Other than that their teachers are very nice and the environment student wise is very friendly."
