Reviews
"Recently left this school. If you truly want your child to go places in the future, this is not the school to send them to. Teachers are rude, classrooms are unclean, and they can't even get teachers! I couldn't learn MANDATORY subjects because the teachers were uneducated themselves... 1-star, do better."
"Great School, very good teachers and friendly staff, my daughters love their class mates and mostly get A and E on their grades. The only thing is the class rooms are so cold to the point that my kids always need jacket or long sleeves when inside the class or else they got cold hands every time I picked them up from school."
"Tbh its not the best school but not the worst. I just graduated this school and I will miss it. There were bad moments and good ones. I'm not going to say these reviews are true or not but if you do go here just have a backup plan. Some years here were great and some sucked. Just remember the middle school building is very small. Coming from someone that came here for 5 years (4th grade-8th grade) it really depends on what you do here but do not embarrass yourself trust me. Good luck."
"Last time I checked the reviews (like 10 months ago?), it was around 3.2, and now it has gone down. Unbelievable. I made many friends here, such as my best friend Maryane. I was weird back then, but don't worry, it changed :'). I am still building my confidence in making friends tho. The curriculum is challenging in an effective way. The teachers are genuinely nice and helped me become successful. One of the lunch ladies made me a beautiful dolphin drawing in like 3rd or 4th grade and I still have it hanging up. Honestly, for Greek, it is fun, but the teachers teach it slowly. This school helped be successful. In my new school, I am doing 7th grade accelerated math (I am in 6th grade) with all other classes advanced except reading (for some reason?). I was one of those smart students who had the answer, but I was also those people who again, have the answer, but just do not say it. I always get an A on my classes mainly because of the great teachers. Art does not really teach you anything, for example, the elements of art, but it is still fun. Music should have some more variety other than singing 'perfectly' and using the recorders(?). Ms. Lindsey was a former music teacher, and we had a lot of fun. I miss her. I got to say, there is some drama in this school, but I have NEVER gotten bullied, which is good of course. There is only one or two students in a grade who are very annoying, but I usually ignore them. This school does not have any detentions or demerits, but the school can still expel or suspend you. The janitors do their best to clean the school, but unfortunately, students often make messes. The cafeteria is bigger, compared to my new school's cafeteria (luckily there is a media center there and there are various times when each 'group'/grade eats). Lunch there is meh, but the pizza pies on Friday are delicious. Kona Ice (?) comes certain times and I usually get it. The school needs some improving in the exterior, it looks a little old on the back side, etc. Car line is a little messed up(?) and Field trips are confusing... Overall, I really love this school and I hope you find this review helpful. This school has made me phenomenally successful, and all that credit goes to them. I have been here from 1st grade to mid-6th grade. Unfortunately, I had to move on to Clearwater Fundamental Middle School, but again, I hope you can also be successful in this school if you look on the bright side."
"I had heard so many good things about Plato Academy. Tried for 2 year to get my granddaughter in. My granddaughter has some learning disabilities and by the website, I thought she would be getting more individualized teaching. Website said small class size. Granddaughter's class had 24 students.. The curriculum they use is very hard and for a new student coming in they will falls behind immediately, they offer nothing for those student to get up to speed. This location is a "C" rated school. Other locations may be better. Granddaughter is back in a public school, where I know if she needs extra after school tutoring she will get that help!!"
