"Not only is the food great but our server Ana Lisa was fantastic. Very attentive and she gave us everything we needed for our party of 7 to have a wonderful dining experience. Gary B."
"Not only do you get a great meal but some of the best conversations with the staff, most of which have been working there for 20 plus years. Poppies is a Delray historical landmark. It’s more than just a meal it’s full on entertainment. Love it there.ps. The matzoh ball soup is the absolute best!"
"Great staff and environment to get you as close as possible to that crazy NY Deli atmosphere and food. The whitefish was amazing and the pastrami and chopped liver brought back some memories. Food portions were large and fresh."
"I am taking my 5 star away and giving them a 1 star. My father was in from out of town and thought I would bring him in for a nice peaceful breakfast. Upon being sat, I overheard an abrupt server who was built and had a loud voice. He kept using profanities with patrons. I couldn't believe my ears… of course he proceeded our way and abruptly took our orders. He then went to another table of 3 elderly people. He said “get your own godd&$@& refills! And stormed off… my father and I looked at each other and decided it was time to leave before I set this guy in his place. We proceeded to the registered to tell the front girl what happened. The server rushed over and slapped the bill down and told the girl we were crazy. Keep in mind we hadn’t said more than a couple words to this man when he took our order. The girl tried to charge us the full bill when we hadn’t received our food. The only thing I said I’m paying for is the one Coke he actually brought out to us. I took it up with the owner and his wife. They couldn’t believe it and they too have said they have had a lot of problems with this server and they think he might be on something that is causing so much rage. The owners seemed very sweet and I had been coming here since I was a kid, so I wrote down my number and told them I would love to come back one day if he is no longer working here and to give me a call when that happens. Obviously he is still working there because I never got that call and this was months ago. How desperate are the owners to keep someone on staff that behaves like this and is abusive towards customers? When he was yelling at other tables I even saw other long time servers looking over at him in disbelief. I wish them the best of luck because they will need it with an employee like this chasing good consistent customers away."
"Delicious food but I had the feeling the waitress was rushing us to order and get out even though there were other available tables."
