"Sushi Yama has a large menu, which works great if you're bringing along someone who has dietary restrictions. If you don't eat fish, if you're a vegetarian, or on a special diet, you'll find something delicious on the menu. The sushi here is fresh, and you can dine at the sushi counter where they prepare in sight. They serve wine, beer, and saki, and have a dessert menu. They offer lunch combo's including a "build your own" bento box. The lunch prices are very reasonable."

"Hands down the best sushi in town and arguably all of south Florida (IMO). The staff are awesome and always welcoming and the service is fast, attentive and consistent. The sushi is delicious and fresh and the sushi chefs are funny and keep us laughing while we enjoy our visits each week at the sushi bar. Don’t skip this place, you’ll not regret it!!!"

"We went there for the first time. I wanted my family to taste sushi and we wanted to try few different kinds of sushi. We tried shrimp and krab sushi roll and seafood teriyaki platter. The food was really good and I would love to go again. We loved the shrimp sushi roll specifically. The server was nice and polite."

"For the food i would give a 4.5 star rating, the service could be so much better, and its so easy to do … just care a little bit for your customers and treat them as you might like to be treated, how hard can that be? Have been here several times, the food is consistently good and the service is consistently leaving much to be desired. The parking is at a mall area and easy and plentiful. It is self parking. The decor of the restaurant is quite simple, clean and pleasing to the eye. The sushi and sashimi chefs do a great job in preparing those dishes and the fish has always been good quality. The prices are a bit on the higher side of average but i think the food is a good quality and better than many other similar type places. I will be back, and just keep hoping for a bit better service!"
