"School has always been a struggle. Our daughter typically despises Sundays as that means we are a day closer to the start of school. Now, since starting at HOA, school is fun! Her connection with Ms. Roxy and Ms. Hernandez is incredible! She feels valued and an important part of her classroom community. As parents, we are pleased to see that skills she has previously struggled with, she now gets! This is due to the smaller class size, patient (did I say patient?!) teacher, and their ability to meet her where she is and move her. If you are looking for a school that will work with your child and makes sure that you child knows “they can,” you are looking at the right place!"
"The compassion, professionalism, and expertise from the teaching staff have convinced me that this well qualified school is an amazing fit for my daughter. The small class sizes and overall size of the school offer a non-intimidating and cozy atmosphere. My daughter is thriving and gaining confidence under the care of these professionals."
"House of Academia is a school founded by Sophia Khan, a professional educator who clearly understands that differentiation of instruction is imperative for each child to receive the most effective education. Under Sophia is an impeccable staff. The principal, Mrs. Hernandez, has a remarkable energy and clear love and appreciation for the students. The teachers with which I am familiar, Mrs. Fernandez, Mr. Jose, and Mr. Sanchez among others, are dedicated education professionals with nothing but the best intentions for their students. I recently sold my home and work remote. I could move anywhere in the country. However, I chose to stay in this area so my son could finish school at House of Academia. That is how much I appreciate this education environment. As an education professional myself, I know the rigor of offering instruction to students and navigating the maze of parental concerns. The staff here has it right. Efficaciously address concerns and above all show a positive environment to your students. Bravo! So rare to find an amazing school where you feel comfortable dropping off your child because you know they will be treated with respect and honor all day."
"Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for making this wonderful school! I was THIS close to homeschooling my son because I had no other options. I could not find the right fit for his unique and amazing self and his abilities. You see, my amazing, smart and kindhearted son, is autistic. We know that children on the spectrum are all different. Specifically pertaining to my son, he is a little speech delayed (has caught up tremendously), and very sensory seeking. He is a friend to everyone and loves everyone and loves to learn. He can talk, make conversations, loves worksheets, but sometimes has trouble giving people space because he loves everyone! He is also a perfectionist , which in turn, stress him out if things are done "wrong" This school has been able to work with him at his academic level (he is in K and can read several sight words and can count to over 100 among other things) and has simultaneously been able to work with his sensory needs by showing him understanding and compassion. They REALLY talk to him in a way that you can tell he understands. Last year, at his previous school, he hated going to school. He cried leaving the car. This year, at this school, he loves going to school! I asked him last week, if he wanted a day off (as his sister's school was closed but not his school) and WANTED to go to school. I can see the love and understanding this school has for my son. They are SO communicative with the parents. They are well worth the 30 min drive we do for our son to school and 30 min drive back every day. It's come to the point where we want him there until 12th grade (he is in K) and we are planning on moving more near the school because this school will be a long term thing in our lives. We love their themed days and activities! Thank you, School of Academia! Thank you Ms. Ali, and Ms. H for being so AMAZING and CARING with my boy! Thank you Sophia for creating this school! Thank you!!!"
"I am very happy with the day school & staff members. Everyone is very nice. At first, I was very scared because my child has ADHD and I have tried many schools and non really worked out. But House of Academia's small setting has really helped my child. He is learning and wanting to go to school. Now, I am more relaxed as I don't have to worry about teacher's complaining Or getting calls about my son's behavior. Hopefully, they can open another location closer to my house."
