"Building Bridges Academy has been an amazing experience so far for my child. I noticed a different in him within a few weeks of the beginning of the year. He truly enjoys going to school now. I can't say that about public school last year. Last year he didn't want to talk about anything at school at all. If he did talk about something from school last year he would tell me how somebody misbehaved and then the teacher spent so much time dealing with their behavior that it interrupted class time. That was his main complaint about public school. This year when I pick him up for the car ride home he tells me all about what goes on in the different classes in detail. He smiles about it and shares all. Last year all I got was school's fine. My day was fine. I don't know why he's willing to talk about it now compared to last year, but it's clearly a good experience for him. The staff have been great at communicating grades and providing extracurricular activities through clubs, volunteer opportunities, and field trips. Highly recommend if your child needs more one-on-one than public school can provide. Also recommend if you are looking for a school that teaches the Bible and does Chapel time."
"Love this school! My son has the best grades and best attendance he’s ever had this year 6th grade! He comes home with a smile everyday. He says all the teachers are so nice and you can tell they want to be there to teach. He loves all the different clubs"
"My child has been attending this school for two years now and I have had the best experience. The teachers communicate your child’s progress in a quick and formal manner and keep you looped in on day to day activities and progression. Mr. Brindle is a joy to deal with and always makes my child felt seen and heard. Any issue we have ever had has been dealt with swiftly and with compassion. I truly love that this school is an option for my child."
"Comments just keep getting removed huh? You don’t want people to know what Hypocritical “Christians” you are. Christianity is not bullying students when your grown adults!!! Regardless of the situation they are CHILDREN! CHILDREN OF GOD!!! THEY ARE GROWING AND ALL YOUR DOING IS MAKING THEM HATE CHRISTIANITY BECAUSE THEY ARE GETTING BULLIED IN A CHURCH!!!! Not many students attend this school and yet these kids are bullying each other and nobody does anything about it everything just brushed under the rug huh. GOD LOVES ALL SO WHY DONT YOU???"
"Update: My daughter still has friends who attend this school. According to one of the friends, a teacher there, Ms. Gwinn, was apparently bad mouthing my daughter, stating that she was nothing but a trouble maker, making other very rude remarks, and discussing other non relevant, private information with the other students in the classroom. Unfortunately our encouter with this school has been extremely negative. My daughter has been constantly bullied by students in this school, to the point where she hid her phone on her, and called for help in the bathroom crying becuase she was afraid of another student who was threatening to drop kick her. The principal will judge your parenting skills, as he did mine 2 seperate times, by stating that my daughter does not "fear" her parents knowing when she gets a mark "like other students," and mentioning that my parenting skills are not capable of handling my child, who is not a bad child at all and has made straight A's since the beginning of school. The principal also does not follow the code of ethic where they "values the worth and dignity of every person, the pursuit of truth" or "make reasonable effort to protect the student from conditions harmful to learning and/or to the student's mental and/or physical health and/or safety." When you try to have a meeting with him, he is very dismissive, and even went as far as rolling his eyes during our meeting when was speaking to him. I do not recommend this school as action does not get done for bullying."
