"The South Tampa Jerk Hut is located in a gas station. A bit hard to find but it’s on the corner of Dale Mabry and Gandy. The food is amazing, there is nowhere to sit, but takeout is easy and fast."

"I was hesitant at first to order but Nika offered me a sample and I’m so happy she did!! The stewed oxtails, rice and peas were amazing!! The portions were great as well! However, I didn’t not care for the macaroni and cheese! Plantains were sweet as well! Definitely will be back! Thank you Nika!"

"I was upset when their location by the Amscot closed down but was so relieved to find out they relocated locally! This food is always great and they have the best fast food mac and cheese around. I get the bbq jerk chicken meal with rice and peas and Mac and cheese with a side of red sauce and the sauce really elevates the flavor! The staff are friendly enough, but the food is the real star of the show, delicious!"

"Let’s get the good part of my visit out of the way, right from the beginning. I love the jerk pork from Jerk Hut. It’s perfectly smoked, crusted with the right amount of spices, juicy, tender and savory. Every piece of meat still has the skin and fat attached and it’s all perfectly chewy and succulent and amazing. The sweet and spicy red sauce perfectly complements the savory pork. There’s enough spice on the pork to evoke a sheen of sweat on my upper lip. Throw on the red sauce and the rest of my face sweats as well. I will drive well out of my way and pay more than I want to for their jerk pork, it’s that good. The sides, steamed cabbage and rice and beans, unfortunately tasted like they were made the day before. They’re acceptable, just stale. Also just fine, the spicy beef patty and jerk chicken patty. Sitting around all day let in some moisture and the crust is no longer crispy. They’re still flavorful and they have a kick to them."
