"I went there for 2 years beginning in 1999(!). I do not recommend but for different reasons than the cult-ish rules. Primarily, it’s not a particularly cerebral institution with high-caliber, well-rounded scholars. Which means it doesn’t attracts recruiters seeking the best and brightest for high-demand, high-paying jobs in emerging fields. If you want financial security from your degree/college, or have a modicum of career ambition in business or tech, you have to work backwards from who is recruiting graduates from your target college. Not how many chapel services a college offers. I was able to get out in time, work hard, and be extremely blessed and lucky to end up where I am. Statistically, people with my background (which is similar to most folks who attend PCC), it was not probable for me to end up in management consulting at Deloitte and eventually Amazon and now tech. But I got to where I am despite unaccredited PCC. In 1999 when the internet was in its infancy, they didn’t allow us to use it. This is such a huge disadvantage in retrospect and I don’t have faith they’ve become more progressive. For instance, I doubt they’re a bastion of gen-AI development. I find that most people who really like/defend PCC are somewhat simple, unable to think critically, inflexible and unwilling to change their mind when presented with new information or facts, tend to get offended easily and are dazzled by things like the buildings, food, and aesthetics of campus. And low tuition. But campus life only lasts for 4 years. The immaculate lawns go away and all you have is a degree and the task of finding a job. Graduates who studied teaching (and wanted to teach at a Christian school), nursing (which was accredited), ministry, secretarial, or Home Economics, and accounting tended to be well positioned for next steps in their careers. So basically if you want to be a nurse, pastor, wife or teacher this is a great place. Those were not the degrees for me. On the bright side, I bonded through trauma with the best people in the world I still call best friends today. You will certainly have a wonderful community of like minded people. No matter your views."
"I have heard so many horror stories about this school. Not being allowed to visit during Thanksgiving. Not being allowed to go to the movie theaters. Just over controlling all of the students. I hope this college realizes that these people are mostly adults. Religion is not an excuse to try and control people."
"A great Christian College I am now a junior in PCC and I absolutely love it! For those people who are commenting negatively about the place fail to see that the rules instituted by the school are for the student’s growth by focusing on petty things that will steal a person’s joy. You will not agree with everything and that is COMPLETELY normal. If you cannot learn to live peaceably with others that have other rules and opinions, then you will be miserable and not focus on the wonderful things that the Lord can show you and teach you. As a graphic design major, I have learned so much from teachers that are professionals in the field and have deepened my knowledge and experience in graphic design and art and I have met many other people that love the college as well. I now have my brother and his friend starting their freshman year and they love it too. If God wants you to go to a different college, follow His leading first. There are other wonderful Christian colleges, but please consider PCC and if this is where God wants you to be, don’t hesitate to come! GO EAGLES!!!"
"I know posting a Google review is a long shot to reach someone but in the interest of helping someone avoid the great mistake I made, please consider all other options before considering this one. I truly makes me sad that this place has the word "Christian" in it's name as most (I will admit I can think of two people that teach their I truly admire) of the staff and faculty are the furthest thing from Christ as you can get. Having now attended two other universities for graduate studies and a state university for specialized training I can say from experience that the education does very little to prepare you for your life. Leadership is not concerned for your spiritual growth but rather they are focused on control both sicoligically and emotionally. I truly do want to help someone avoid making a great mistake but I know many will not consider the negative words in the comments here both from me and others. But please consider this if you do attend, for the majority of the chapels/church services etc. when you walk away can you honestly say that you have learned something about God and can now explain something from his word or did you hear an emotionally charged speech geared to causing people to "feel" the need to do something regardless of what a full passage of Scripture teaches?"
"The pictures posted are scenic picture of various places around Campus. I am a Sophomore here at PCC and I would highly recommend this college. I am giving them 5 stars not because they are without flaws, but because in spite of the flaws that I have found they still provide a wonderful education and college life experience. They do have rules which you are fully made aware of during the registration process. Everyone has a different view of these rules, some think they are too strict and others find them less strict than what they were raised with. It is up to everyone individually whether they are willing to live with the rules or not. The President is a very caring man who emphasizes the growth of the students and the college itself. This is a great college to come and learn about your chosen trade with a Christian worldview, but I only recommend it with a warning that no decision this important should be made without prayer. Go where God leads you, but if He leads you here, we will be happy to welcome you and make you feel at home!"
