"The only thing I can say good about this place is that all the nurses that I have had have been 5☆. Everything else and pretty much everyone else has been 0☆. This is what you get with the monopoly of these healthcare conglomerates buying up all the small hospitals. Nurse Liz in the ER on 02.15.24 and 02.16.24 gets a 10☆. She was taking care of at least 6 high maintenance ER patients the entire time I was in there, and I was held for over 12 hours before they finally gave me a room. Then when was taken to my room it had been given to another patient and they had no other clean rooms so I had to sit in the hallway and wait for a room. They also do not have charts where they write anything down that the patient tells them because I had to repeat myself to every single nurse, tech, doctor, and anyone I came in contact with. Zero communication in this place. My spouse not me just received a call from a social worker (02.18.24 @ 930am) at the hospital asking questions that we both know the registration girl asked and I answered when she came to the ER bed. Called the number on the room menu to get a snack last evening 02.17.24 @5.55pm and it keeps saying all agents busy and finally made me lease a message (asked for name and room # and what you wanted off menu). Never heard back from anyone so I call back at 7pm and again got the busy leave a message so I called back and chose the I'm a nurse option and they answered right way (go figure) and the lady was extremely rude when she asked if I was a nurse and I told her no and I wanted to know where my food was. She asked what hospital I was at, and I advised Northside, and she said they were closed. Also, she says what you ordered is not heart healthy. The menu fails to mark anything as heart healthy, so how the hell are patients to know this? I was supposed to have a stress test performed on Saturday and it appears this entire hospital has 1 employee that can perform it and they called in sick so no stress test could be performed and I would have to wait until Monday to have it performed. Oh, now HCA gets two more days of money out of my insurance and my coinsurance out of pocket. The cardiologist assigned to me said my results for my ecogram were in, and he would be back shortly with the results. This was at noon while I was in holding room in ER, he never came back and finally showed up in the afternoon the next day when I was in a room (a fellowship associate, not the actual Cardiologist gave me the results at 10am the next day) . I got out of my bed to straighten my sheet and blanket and a test tube of my blood rolled out and on to the floor that some left behind and had to call the nurse to come get it. I'm not sure how long it had been there. An employee from the ER pharmacy came to me in the ER and very loudly yelled out a very private medical information about me where the entire er could here him including other patients that were only separated by curtains. HUGE HIPPA violation. I have had many ER and hospital experiences over my 55+ years, but this place has got to take the cake and be the worst I have ever experienced. If good had a negative rating, HCA would get a -5☆."
"My daughter's husband passed away at this facility last Sunday evening. We were so impressed with the nurse providing care to my son-in-law during this very difficult. The nurse was compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient with our family. He was able to communicate the status, process, what to expect in simple, plain words easily understandable by us all. A true standout. We thank you for making the transition amazing."
"My son was taken via 911 for a extremely low blood sugar he was in a full seizure. The ER nurses were not watching his sugars closely. It went to 22 I started to panic. They had not given him any sugar. He needed IV glucose and intake something. He ended up being admitted to ICU and they were supposed to be watching him very closely. Which did not happen. The nurse in charge of him was moved to cover the ER. Thank goodness nothing more happened but what ever happened to good care? I do not blame the staff. This is due to short staffing. Under paid and over worked nursing staff! Yet admin and CEO makes millions. Pay your staff!!! and see improvements in patient care!"
"I have 1 star because my experience was so horrible the only 2 people that did not make fun of my symptoms or take me seriously was the x-ray tech and intake nurse. The Dr made jokes about me while walking through the hallway because my intake form said sore throat. He then told me I have the man flu insinuating I'm making everything up and exaggerating how I feel. Seriously why would I come here if I didn't have something concerning wrong. And he laughed at me. I have never felt this belittled and demeaned before in my life. The room I am in also is dirty and someone's pee is also still in the bathroom. They don't seem to know what another has already done no organization or team work. Allot of laughing and playing in the hallway"
