Sticky Rice

"So I'm Filipino and my wife and her family are Lao. We long anticipated the opening of this restaurant as we're Disney pass holders and swing by Dim Sum, Pho, Korean, and Boiling Crawfish on every visit to O-Town. Well now we have a new place to add to our rotation! Very reasonably priced, great casual "picnic/family style" layout in true Lao community fashion. Service is great w a smile and compliment, and the food is true legit Laotian! What a relief! Hard to pull off authentic Laos food, unless of course, your whole kitchen staff and owners are Laotian. Wash your hands and eat w your fingers legit! Our favorites: - Larb gai - chicken wings BBQ (better than home made-don't tell mom) - sin Hang - tamahung - tamactua Or pretty much anything on the menu, really. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars = when we ask for "Loa Spicy", it doesn't mean Thai spicy. We want it PET PET - like crying, sweating, running to the rest room spicy - like we do at home. We get it, too spicy is not for everyone. Keep up the great work!!"

"Very cool ambiance. Papaya Salad - So tasty and refreshing. I would have preferred shrimp chips over pork rinds though. Jeow Bong Chicken Bao - Packed with saucy flavor! Coconut Curry Ramen - Absolutely delicious soup base. All of the ingredients were cooked well, and the noodles had great texture. Sweet Purple Rice with Mango - A satisfying way to end the meal. It wasn't too sweet and can definitely be shared."

"I have been looking for a Laotian restaurant for some time now. Sticky Rice did not disappoint! The flavors are distinct from other Asian styles of cooking, so if you think it's anything you've tried at your local Chinese, Japanese, or Korean spot, respectfully, you'd be wrong. Affordable, delicious, and a very chill vibe. I'll be back again!"

"Sticky Rice is one of the best Asian restaurants in the whole Orlando area! I’ve been going here for years and I love it! They have the best Lao food I’ve ever eaten (which has elements from Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese if you’ve never tried), and I’ve visited northern Thailand where there are many Lao restaurants. They specialize in Lao street food and many of the dishes are absolutely incredible! Crispy Rice Lettuce Wraps, Lemongrass Beef Jerky, Pork Sausage, Pork Tapioca Dumplings, Curry Ribs, Laab…I could go on and on! So many good items from their menu. If you’re ever craving small-plate Asian food, I would recommend here before almost anywhere. Prices are reasonable, there is a decent amount of parking right next to the restaurant, food comes out fast (even when it’s busy), and the decor really makes you feel like you’re in Asia! I just love everything about this place and can’t speak highly enough of it. Give Sticky Rice a try and you’ll love it!!!"
