"If y’all want to take ur kids somewhere where they bullied by their own teachers sign up! My brother got told by Ms.Carmen that he was so ugly he was going to break the mirror. We let the office know and they still let her work. Obviously centro mater lacks common sense and is unprofessional and doesn’t know how to hire actual decent people. Girl ur staff is not trained obviously if ur calling my brother ugly and not firing MS CARMEN."
"I have been in Centro Mater since i was a baby, now i am going to middle school. I am sad that i will have to leave this place behind because i had so much amazing moments here. I ❤️ Centro!"
"I used to attend this place for many many years. I started here when I was only 3 months old. My grandma and aunt worked here, and my mother and uncles attended here when they were young. This place is a very big deal to my family and I. The last time I was here was summer 2013. By looking at photos of recent events I can say that things have changed dramatically (for the better). But I’ll just talk about my experience. This place was amazing when I went here. 98% of my childhood memories comes from this place alone (makes sense because I attended daycare, after school program, and summer camp for nearly 13 years). But I often think about this place. As a kid I remember hating that we weren’t allowed to use electronic devices like phones and tablets. they did allow us to use our Nintendo ds and DSi etc... (which by the way was the craze around the years 2006-2009 more or less lol) for a while but they stopped. And I was so upset by it. But looking back now I am so grateful they did because the last thing I want are my childhood memories being tarnished by a computer screen. I can’t really speak for that now because like I said I haven’t been here since 2013 and I don’t know if things have changed, but if they have, just know that them taking away electronic devices was the best thing they did for us. because now all my memories consist of field trips to water parks, zoos, museums, arcades, bowling alleys, roller skating rinks, even the bus rides to these locations were fun, visits to Jose Marti park, the dance talent show at the end of summer break, the arts and crafts they made us do, the movies we watched on the box TVs with DVD’s and VHS tapes, the board games and Lego houses we built. The endless games of Mario kart we played together, the Just Dance battles we had. I can go on forever. I can’t stress enough how grateful I am to have attended a place like this. The memories have become core memories and will stick with me for life. I wrote this review for any parent looking for a good place to leave your children and hope they are in good hands. I’m not sure if the prices have changed since I’ve been there but trust me when I say for the amount of fun and learning your child will receive from here is worth every penny. I recommend this place to everyone who has kids, and their only issue is that it's too far for them. This truly is the best childcare that’s out there. You won’t find a place better."
"As a father, my experience has been mostly horrible. My son has only attended virtual classes via zoom. Meanwhile, there have been a plethora of students allowed to attend in-person classes. This is unfair for my son. He was never once able to see and play in person with other students or learn first hand from these so called teachers. They favor the students that are present in person, as opposed to the children that are in the zoom call which was in Spanish not English. This could have easily been avoided by simply creating a rotation for students to come on some days and others vice versa. This is discriminating against not only my son but also me. I have a job just like every other parent but the school decides to prioritize the students and parents that are already in-class. Meanwhile, they keep denying me entry into calls on some days. The zoom calls only last for 1 hour but the students physically at the school get their 8 hours and full attention from the teachers. I try my BEST to participate in his classes everyday to keep his attention on the presentation of the day, although this can prove challenging at times with my day to day agenda. At his previous school he was involved in all activities and never missed a single day. Now there is a constant denial of entry into the classes without explanation. No, "Hi how are you Mr. Aroche?" As a new family to this school, I cannot be more disappointed in the neglect me and my family has endured."
"The best place to take your children to learn, alm the staff is very good, all true teachers are so loving and committed. Specially the teachers in room 10 have been so supportive. I can't thank enough all the staff including Lorraine which is the social worker and she is AMAZING!!!! Thank you centro Mater for opening your doors to my children's."
