"Delaney’s Tavern is such an underrated restaurant just north of the SoDo area in Orlando! Everybody always goes to Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, and downtown or Mills/50 areas for good restaurants, but why not here? They have a convenient parking garage right next to the restaurant since it’s attached to a hotel, and if you eat here, parking is free! The food is awesome, and if you came with a group of 30, I can guarantee everyone would leave happy because there is something for everyone! On our recent visit, we got a variety of different things: blue crab beignets, brie in puffs, spinach & berries salad, French onion soup, lobster bisque, gluten-free shrimp tacos (they have corn tortillas), smoked brisket tacos, bucatini bouillabaisse, and a skillet brownie as well as the the basque cheesecake with yuzu and blackberry drizzle for dessert, and some salted caramel ice cream on the side! Everything was so, so good! The beignets and brie in puffs are must-try dishes if you like crab and puff pastry with cheese, both soups were super good and the lobster bisque had a LOT of BIG chunks of lobster inside - one of the best we’ve ever had! The salad was great too! All the tacos we got were excellent; either would be a great choice, and the bucatini bouillabaisse (a February special) was incredible - another must-try. The desserts were amazing and the cheesecake especially was one of the best we’ve had in a very long time! Our waitress was super nice, friendly, and attentive, and she made the whole experience so much better than it already was. A great place that is centrally-located for everyone in Orlando, check this place out as soon as possible!! We will be back many more times!"
"Had dinner here before a show at Dr. Philips Center. Parking garage is easy and DT will validate parking ticket. The front room where the bar is has a good ambiance, but the dining room isn’t cohesive with that vibe and it feels like a converted hotel restaurant (which I think it is). Service was mediocre and food took a long time. We wanted to order desert, but we’re concerned we wouldn’t have time for it. We of ordered a flat bread and salad, while a table of 5-6 people who ordered apps and mains after us received food before us. Only after we remarked on how long it was taking, the server came by our table. The food was excellent! So that was a redeeming factor. I would definitely eat here again before going downtown."
"I live in Dallas and travel to Orlando for work. Always look for a high end experience from well executed food to great service and fun atmosphere. Delaney’s delivers on all fronts and so it’s now become a repeat. May not sound like much but since I travel so much I rarely repeat my visits to better experience the local cuisine. But I now go to Delaney’s on every Orlando visit and that’s indicative of how much this place means to me. There is construction on the main road and it’s still worth fighting upstream to get there. I have thought about their Sea Bass so many times while in other states that it’s just silly - definitely on my “go to” list! Meatballs are strangely salty btw so consider that if you have a sodium issue 12-11-23 update: sadly, 2 visits in a row the service has been a disaster. On this visit, I placed my order then waited for 36 minutes to get fish that I could tell by looking at it had been cooked long before I received it - no stream, congealed sauce… was dropped off by a bar back. Never had a waiter/bartender check on me - ate the whole thing without a single contact by anyone at the restaurant- put cash down and left without a word from the restaurant. Food would’ve been so good delivered to me 15-20 minutes before I received it. Experience would’ve been way better with a hint of care from restaurant staff. This is 2 visits in a row and I didn’t lower my rating last time but this time I have to."
"We were in Orlando for a concert at the Amway Center and Delaney' came to us in the elevator at the recommendation of another hotel guest. We walked a short distance and enjoyed an amazing dinner experience. We shared an entrée and several small plates, ice cold beer, mango jalapeño margaritas and great service. The Moroccan cauliflower was out a phenomenal dish full of spices and tender florets. The wedge salad was crisp and flavorful. The smoked brisket tacos were very filling and had fingerling potatoes inside which were a nice twist. The food and service were so great we went back after we checked out of our hotel and had brunch. The steak and eggs were very good. I added mushrooms and it was a nice touch. We also had the french toast and I don't know what magic they made it in (similar to the cauliflower) but we haven't stopped talking about it. We frequent Orlando often and we have found a new favorite, must visit place to eat. Superb food and service!"
"I’m here visiting in Orlando for a work. The hotel I’m staying at recommended this place. Hands down the best French toast I’ve ever had and their egg skillet is chefs kiss! My server Anna is super sweet and helped me pick out the best brunch meal ever!!!"
