Reviews of Renaissance Charter School at Cooper City
"Excellent school! My children have been attending this school since it first open its doors. We had different administrators team, and I have to say that this year we have the best team so far. They do listen to parents, address issues right away, and care for the children. Families that complain or leave the school it's because they can't keep up with the academic program, some find that it's "too much" for their children. Communication is good with the teachers, and administration is always available. The school is kept clean, they have lots technology available in each classroom, and online resources for the students. They also offer free tutoring for students that need improvement. They can improve in their lunch menu."
"My son has been at this school since second grade. He'll be in 5th grade this term. I find that his past teachers were knowledgeable and patient with him. He loves the school and so do I. The only issue I have so far is how strict the staff are at lunch. They need to be more tolerable and understand that these are kids and should be able to have some freedom during lunch. Keep up the good work and make this a great school year!"
"I had to take out my daughter from this school and is the best decision I ever made. The staff is rude, the receptionist is clueless and the principal doesn't know how to run a school. Staff never return calls. They don't care about kids falling behind in a specific class and don't do anything to help other than offer extended school day but that doesn't work for all parents given their working hours. They don't care about kids with special needs like my daughter and don't put enough effort for them to succeed like the other kids. Favoritism is on point in this school and is ridiculous. Drop off and pick up is a mess! Stay away!"
"Great school! They offer free tutoring if your child is struggling academically. I love the discipline. It will serve the kids well in the future. They have to tuck shirts in and wear correct uniforms. Great communication about school events. Quarterly conferences with teachers about your child's progress. They give students access to lots of online resources for reading and math. "A" school for a reason."
"This school is a great school. My only issue is I don't feel safe in case of a code red. For the safety of the children, we rarely practice code reds. There has only been one code red this whole year and the school year is almost over. The procedures of this school is good though. They are very strick about their rules. They have this program called the tracker where if you miss behave you get put in it. I think its a good system its just that some teachers are beginning to abuse it. Overall, this is a great school. It is nice and clean and when you arrive to the school on Mondays they have the school nice and clean for the students when they come back."
