"Our family loves imagine. Our children are safe and they are excelling academically. We love parent involvement at the school. Parents communicate with one another and this makes for a wonderful environment. The elementary and the middle school are highly safe. The school staff can really focus on the kids because of the smaller size of the school. You don't have to worry about any sort of behavior issues here compared to "regular" public middle schools. The teachers are wonderful and easily accesible. They take the time to get to know each student. Supporting staff are great too. Everyone knows everyone here. Kids love that! I have to say that I am so glad we have Mrs. Darling as our new principal. She had worked at the school for years before becoming principal so she knows what works and what doesn't. I have never met a more involved principal in my life. I am beyond happy with her. She has a genuine caring attitude and truly supports and encourages her staff and students. I recommend this school to everyone that I know. PTO is highly involved and go way out of their way with all of the activities for the school. They really make it fun for the kids with all of the social activities that they host."
"Overrated, average school plagued by leadership issues and frequent faculty/staff turnover. Don’t enroll your children in this school thinking you’re going to experience a new, exciting, alternative learning experience. It’s not going to happen. That’s not reality. This place is just another public school run by a private company that counts on public funds to line their pockets. Here are their biggest problems: 1) An out-of-balance focus on standardized testing instead of emphasizing genuine learning experiences. Your child will spend an inordinate amount of time being prepared for standardized tests. 2) An inability to keep quality faculty and staff. The best and the brightest leave as soon as the opportunity presents itself. That amazing teacher you had last year will be gone in no time. That staff member that went out of their way to help your child in their time of need will be gone too. 3) Constant changes in leadership. They seem to cycle thru principals on a regular basis. You can count on the principal “leaving” once every couple of years. This creates a lot instability and ambiguity within the school. I’m not calling Imagine Broward a bad or terrible school. It’s neither. I’m just calling it what it is: a mediocre educational experience."
"I have attended this school since kindergarten and I loved it until I entered the middle school. From the day I started fifth grade till eight, I've been called retarded, stupid, disrespectful, and plenty other rude things. I have been treated inappropriately. Coming into my sixth grade year here, I couldn't wait but I was unfortunately let down by many people who work here. Teachers often pick favorites and kids get offended. Also, many individuals that attend the school often complain about some ridiculous policies they have that may not follow guidelines. There has been times where they wouldn't let me use the restroom or call my parents when I needed to. If you want your children to have a educational, fun, and respectful experience in middle school I wouldn't recommend attending imagine."
"If there was an option for me to give this school a 0.5 star rating, I certainly would. Now, I'm not the type to write reviews, but this school has by far been the worst school I've ever been to in my entire life. I attended this school for my last year, and let me tell you, it was an experience I'll never forget. To start off, I would just like to state that the reason I'm giving this school such a low rating is simply because of the way I was treated by the teachers here. Nothing else, just the teachers. The food here is pretty good, and a large portion of the staff here have good manners + respect towards others. HOWEVER, the teachers that I had to deal with here were beyond disrespectful. Don't get me wrong, half of the teachers for those grades are pretty decent, but the other half were an absolute nightmare. To make my issue with the teachers long story short, they were rude, disrespectful, showed clear signs of favoritism, unfair, and possibly racist. The things I went through at this school lead me to believe that half of the fourth and fifth grade teachers are 100% unfit to teach children. For those of you who were wondering, I did in fact make the current principal (Mrs. Tracy) aware of the things I was going through on a day to day basis, but all she did not show any interest in helping me fix these problems (the 'guidance counselor' didn't either). Also, I just wanted to mention that one of the fifth grade teachers grabs and roughs up the students, the teachers bring your grades down based on your behavior, and that my teacher (at that point in time) once told me that she'd make sure that I got sent to the principal's office. Parents, please do your children/children a huge favor and send them to a different school. There are a bunch of better ones nearby. :)"
"Love the school. The teachers she had were excellent and really care for her educational development. Our daughter made a tremendous improvement in reading, writing and math since she joined this school. The staff at the school have been very nice, so no complaints. Hopefully the next set of teachers she gets are as great as the ones she had last school year."
