Reviews of KinderCare of Boynton Beach
"PARENTS BEWARE! This a horrible establishment. My son went there for a couple of months and that was a big mistake. For starters, every couple of weeks they had a new teacher. They mainly hired children straight out of high school that have no idea what they are doing or just did not care about the kids well being or safety. There would be 15 kids with one teacher. They constantly had people call out and quit to the point where you did not know who is taking care of your child .They don’t communicate anything with you and there was complete chaos .They were extremely unprofessional. I would hear teachers cursing in the establishments and commenting on how they don’t want to be there and child care isn’t for them. There was always drama going on within the staff that parents would witness. That’s the kind of people that was there. My child came home with scratches on their privates and everyone was clueless when questioned, my nephew would fall apart at drop off stating that the teacher would hit them. Your child will not grow here, this is purely a babysitting gig. Multiple times concerns were voiced and the staff would just brush it off. The only teacher over there that was any good was Ms. Ana. She was amazing and that place did not deserve her. Ms Raquel was also really kind and tried her best to keep everything together but one person cannot do the job of 40 people. They need to do better."
"When you leave your baby somewhere you don’t just worry if their needs will be met, you also worry if your kid will be loved. There was so much love at Kindercare for our little one. The director and teachers are genuine, personable and friendly."
"I’m so happy to have my son attend the Boynton Beach Kindercare location. Christina, the director, has been AMAZING! My son has a special diet and she has been nothing but understanding, supportive and helpful. The teachers and staff follow her lead as well. In my experience, this team truly love their job and are always in communication with me with all of my concerns-big or small. But most importantly, my son is so happy to be here too!"
"The place is nice and clean. I appreciate the people who have cared for my daughter for a short period of time. However I came to the conclusion that she was not the right fit for this place. My daughter, Clara, is 10.5 months old, at least at the time I brought her in, and she is a very active and curious child. She needs stimulation, interaction and affection from her caretaker. Clara had a hard time napping at this place, mostly just under an hour and sometimes just 20 minutes. She was there for 7 days. I hoped she would by then adjust. I know that it takes time for a baby to adjust to a day care and sleep like she does at home. The director, Christina, reassured me that her son had a hard time sleeping because he too was an active child but that eventually he would grow into it. When I came to pick up my daughter on the last day, I saw one of the caretakers holding one calm baby on one arm and my daughter in the other as she was crying and clearly upset. She just sat there with her other caretaker coworker who was holding a baby. I would think that one would try their best to try and pacify a child, not just sit there while holding another baby that can clearly sit down on his own while she tends to the one in need. It's possible that the calm baby might have cried too if she had put it down but she didn't at least try this or didn't tell me this. When I am there in the morning and later in the day, I don't feel that the caretakers, or at least the ones aforementioned (younger ones on the later shift of the infancy department, I'm holding my tongue here because I don't want to get anyone in trouble) are as engaging as I thought they would be (stimulating, interactive and affectionate) but instead are mostly sitting around while watching the babies. Of course they do well with babies that have more of a calm nature. Maybe they just aren't used to older babies, like 10 month olds and above that are learning to walk. I did see in the early shift though, one of the caretakers walking them and helping them practice walking. I have also seen in the earlier shift, the older more experienced caretakers talk more and joke with the babies. I do appreciate the earlier shift caretakers Dolly and Adriana. Adriana was a bit strict about writing on the schedule and picking up my stuff as soon as I entered the room. Although, it's a good sign she is concerned for the child safety. Dolly is kind and humorous. I have seen two other Kindercares in West and East Boca and they both have their own separate room for the older babies. At the Boynton location, I don't feel the warmth, don't hear music, but most notably was affected by the later shift with the younger caretakers who don't seem to put their best in the work they do. They certainly don't make more of an effort for active children. And I felt they were aloof towards me, leaving me worried. If it weren't for the nice director Christina, I would give just one star. She was nice to always respond to my requests. But I don't feel that she really minded or understood how some of her staff operates. In the morning I saw sometimes the staff a bit busy and maybe overwhelmed. On busy days I would see a baby crying. Sometimes it would take more than 5 minutes to come to the child just because there were many babies and they were attending to some of them already. Maybe it was ok for the director to stick to just the bare minimum of Florida ration of 4:1 babies to caretaker. Or it could be how the staff manages the babies. Either way, the point I want to get at is if you come here, please be aware that if your baby is more active or sensitive than other babies, maybe this place is not the right one."
