Islamorada Shrimp Shack

"I feel sorry for giving it a bad review, but my goodness. Our take out order was supposed to be ready in 15min but took almost an hour (and glad I checked because only half of it was delivered at first). And the food…so disappointing. Smoked fish dip tasted so heavy and the crackers tasted quite old (had a way better one at the Aquarium earlier the same day!! And they are not even a restaurant). The shrimp ceaser wrap - I couldn’t eat it. The shrimp was very oily, the lettuce completely cooked and soggy. The shrimp fritters, drenched in oil. Hubby refused to eat them. The salads were OK (both mozzarella basil and Greek), but not worth the wait! The fried fish (salad add on) was nice and crispy."

"Parking is easy. Once you enter, the server will seat you in the bar or the restaurant. My friend ordered a margarita, the shrimp platter with 4 different kinds of shrimp. I ordered the Captains Lunch Platter, which was a lot of food for $20. 3 big shrimp, a fish filet, a handful of clams, cole slaw and 2 hush puppies. My food was great and I actually gave away 1/2 my filet, both husband puppies and the coke slaw. My friend enjoyed all of tge shrimp but said the bacon wrapped shrimp were her favorites. Seating was comfortable and our server was Angela, who was both charming and efficient. Nice, relaxing lunch. We will be back!"

"This is a must place to stop in the keys! It was a delicious hole in the wall stop. I had the continental shrimp served over rice and it was the most delicious dish! Their key lime pie was so freaking good too! Everything was a 10/10 including staff as they were so friendly and kind. So glad we visited this place! We would definitely go back again."
