Reviews of St. John Vianney Catholic School
"(Former student here). I went to school here from pre-k through 7th grade. I am now an adult in my mid-twenties. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to review this place and say my peace. But for the love of God, do NOT send your children here. I have extremely traumatic experiences I still recall and they still make me sad for child-me all the time. I was profusely bullied by not just students, but by teachers, kids parents, and the principal at the time. I only had one good teacher my entire time I was there, she was my 6th grade math teacher and she was incredible. Teachers and the principal enabled bullying at this school. This school made my life hell. I was sick all the time, I developed anxiety, depression, and the things they did and allowed to happen are absolutely appalling. In hindsight as a now adult, I just feel so sorry for younger me. I cannot believe this school even has people who support it. I think the only people who enjoyed this school were the ones who were “on top” and were bullies. I actually think the teachers and administration got joy out of the cruel things they did to me and let happen with the other children. Please, don’t send your children here. They are the complete opposite of demonstrating what it means to be catholic. Because of them, I will always feel uncomfortable in a church and will always look back at younger me and feel sorry for the things I had to experience. I truly just want others to save their children from the cruelty I had to endure here. The good education I received was not worth the trauma. Please don’t send your kids here. They deserve better."
"I have a Holy Warning for everyone including your faculty and it is about their priest Raul Caga. I just wrote a complaint about him to the Dioceses of Orlando, but I am still waiting for a response. Please pray for discernment. May God bless."
"(Past student)I'm not going to lie I had a bad experience at this school due to lack of student awareness from the staff. There was also a lack of confidentiality between staff and student talks. the school environment was terrible and i do not recommend sending your kid here if they are neurodivergent. or if they are happy -- it'll probably ruin that for them.some staff picked their favorites and it was just a toxic, toxic environment. this school made me question my faith in God, there was so much negative talk toward public schools but ive been doing way better since ive left. i hope the admin has improved by then .There was still some good teachers and staff which are not part of this review . I don't hold any hard feeling towards this negative experience I was thought to forgive always ."
"Is a great school and has teachers who care and good installations and also people who care but the administration lacks alot of things I cannot say because is not my problem to solve them but that is all I can comment here."
"I attended this school in the 80s and had a great experience under the leadership of Sister Rita Thomas. I attended a fundraiser many years later and spent $800 for a Private Chef Dinner , which I never received. I called the school many times and nothing was ever done about it. I also talked to another alumni that stated that the same thing happened to him. I don’t regret giving to this school, but just want others to be aware of this occurrence."
