"If I could give less than 1 star to this school I would. I do not recommend this place. Every day I would come to pick my kids from school there was always some issue with this school. For starters my 7 to 8 months old at the time bumped his head heavily at their care in hard concrete floor and the school share very minimal information of the events. Granted, babies that bump their head (like the injury he had) need to get evaluated medically. The school was not properly child proof for infants to the point that DCF got involved. My son was visibly injured and the school did not called us immediately, which is a big issue. At the time they made it sound as a very minor injury and we need to get use to kids getting injured. We took our son to the ER and the school got reported by the medical staff, and rightly so. It was just after the fact the school worked with us to ensure this wouldn’t happen again. They gave us a speech about trust but we never felt welcome afterwards especially with Mrs Natalia. After our son got injured at their care Natalia became insanely unprofessional. It tells you a lot when a child gets injured at a school and assistant director doesn’t even ask how the baby is doing. Nothing but unprofessional and disrespectful towards our family. A couple of weeks ago my son got bumped in the head again. The excuse always is that kids when they start to get mobil these things happen. While I do agree that accidents happens , us the adults need to make sure we provide a safe environment for kids to explore and prevent injuries. My son keeps getting used as an experiment in the classroom for them to fix issues in their school afterwards. I will say that Miss Tasha is great to work with. However her assistant director is another story. If you get a tour with Natalia, ensure to ask for someone else to actually get proper and correct information. During tour Natalia tells you what you want to hear. It is not until you sign up to the school that turns out she constantly shared incorrect information. These are just a few stories but, as mentioned, there was always something with them everyday especially because of miscommunication. While out of good faith we tried to work with Tasha, we finally had enough today when our kids got kicked out of school for not RSVP for bringing them today during president day by Natalia. I shared that we never received communication of RSVP and my husband got into an accident and I needed to take him to the Doctor. This meant nothing to them, which was the last straw for us. We requested to talk to Tasha , which is the director, but she never called. This is a very expensive school and on top of this with their lack of proper communication we need to RSVP and if you don’t you get kicked out? Safe yourself a headache. We will be leaving the school ASAP."
"We have had the best experience at Guidepost! The leadership is wonderful even through a staff change and we adore our daughters teachers. You can tell they work as a team and that the teachers are there because they truly care. Our whole family feels cared for and the relationships our daughter has built are wonderful!"
"We have non verbal 3 year old twins. We were asked to leave after FOUR days despite all of the challenges our twins posed being disclosed prior to them beginning there. Our children’s diapers were not changed at all on their first day due to our non verbal children not telling the staff they were soiled. Wrong shoes were put on the wrong child resulting in open sores that took two weeks to heal. The staff never seemed interested in making our twins feel welcome despite the change in daycare for them. We were led to believe they could help when they did anything but!"
"I cant recommend Guidepost Montessori enough! Our son was diagnosed with Autism earlier this year and every other school told me he was not welcome for reasons such as "not sitting still". When I walked into Guidepost I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. They went out of their way to make sure our son felt safe and comforted at the school. They treat him just like any other student. There is an overwhelming feeling of happiness when I see my son after school every day because I know he is very well taken care of. When he started there, he barely communicated. Since then, he has learned ways to communicate his feelings and needs. His therapists cant believe how much he has learned in the few short months he has been there. We love Guidepost so much and cant thank the teachers and staff enough for everything they have done for us and our family. Highly recommend them!!!!"
"Guidepost Montessori has been an amazing experience for our daughter and family. They are diligent and welcoming in their guidance of her development. Our daughter enjoys her time there daily and the guides (not only just in her Toddler room) have been great with her. Guidepost Montessori guides and staff go out of their way to make the child and the family feel welcome and a part of the school community. Would highly suggest them!"
