"My twin boys attended this wonderful school beginning with the little kids afternoon program, all the way to kindergarten. The little kids' program is a great way to gently introduce kids to school and, especially, to the Montessori program. The school is very small (it feels more like a home) and only admits 10-12 children every year, so the ratio of teachers per student is unmatched. Kids get a lot of personalized attention and have a great opportunity to learn and grow in a very calm and nurturing environment. As they develop, the curriculum and activities they engage in adapts to their needs, interests, and style of learning. It was amazing to me how they would make great progress in reading and math in short periods of time, without ever feeling like they were under pressure or not enjoying their time at school. My kids moved on to an elementary school with a very rigorous academic program and they never struggled in any of the subjects, they in fact had carried from this early years a love of learning and reading that has been an amazing asset throughout their elementary school years."

"This pre-school is a gem. The experience with my 4-year old son has been fantastic. He loves this school so much. The teachers are knowledgeable, nurturing and loving. They stay true to the Montessori method while catering to each child’s developmental strengths. To enter the classroom is to witness children quietly engaged in independent learning. The teacher to child ratio is unheard of in this city known for crowded class sizes. Aside from core subjects, the children learn art, French and Spanish, but most of all, they are all happy and well cared for. I wholeheartedly recommend Mrs. Payan’s school."
