Blue Lime

"Bad Food, Bad service, Great View New help jitters, or just bad help/management? Our party of 4 are avid Mexican restaurant goers, but all agreed this was the worst experience possible. From confusion being seated by the host stand (we were the first ones in the door), to drinks being spilt on one of our party two different times, to my meal being delivered and eaten before the other 3 meals came out, service was in disarray. Two of the meals were grossly over cooked. Two of the soups (one Bean, one Tortilla) were not even warm. My Snapper dish was cooked upside down (skin side facing up). The Margaritas were $15 for a SMALL, same price as a fish bowl at the better Mexican restaurants in town. We re-ordered drinks before the meals were served and didn't get them until the meals were almost done. Only positive was the great harbor view and our main server was actually very nice. The acoustics in the place are very bad so it gets extremely noisy inside, if you can grab an outside table, do it. I have visited 1 other Allegiant Restaurant (The Stadium) and it was good, but we won't be back to the the Blue Lime."

"Went there for dinner Sunday night, food was amazing!!!!! We had great traditional margaritas that were equally as good…..they even had a dj and the music was amazing. 5 stars would for sure come back; highly recommend!"

"Tried this restaurant for the first time last night and went to the bar with some friends. Had a couple margaritas chips and salsa that were outstanding. Hot and Smoky was great. Sat down at the table for dinner and tried the octopus appetizer which was outstanding. Carne Asada entree was Cooked perfectly and was very tasty and tender. The only thing in the slightest annoyance was the shape of the plates and we noticed this with several other people as they sat their utensils on the side of the plate. They fell off because of the weird shape that the dinner plates are. Also, the little cup of beans could be improved."

"Sadly disappointed. Slooooooow service, chips so salty couldn’t enjoy, salsa was bland… Ordered ceviche trio and tasted like a crop juice with no seafood, we sent it back. Carnitas were dry and served with a sweet teriyaki. Had such high expectations for this place. We tried and will not return. Nothing crave worthy of return"

"Finally a high end Mexican restaurant in SWFL. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good this restaurant was. The atmosphere was good however a touch loud. But the live music was excellent. And for only being open for 5 days I was impressed at how good the service was. Our server Joey was knowledgeable about the menu and a variety of tequilas and was able to make great recommendations to us. The food was excellent. I would highly recommend the carne asada plate. It was tender and extremely flavorful. The drinks were very innovative and the tequila selection was shockingly diverse considering the area we are in. If you're prepared for a little more of a splurge night I would absolutely recommend blue lime!"
