"Excelent home made food. Served by owners. Chef is the family head. Perfect and real Italian food. Just careful because only the daughter speaks English. Quite an experience! Great value for your money."

"Attempted to have dinner at this restaurant to celebrate Valentines Day. My husband had made reservations a week ago for two. They gave us the 7 pm slot. We arrived a bit early (15 minutes), and they offered a tiny bistro cocktail table, which could barely hold two dinner plates. We declined and said we'd rather wait for a larger table. We waited outside and came back in at 6:55 pm. when we saw a couple leave and there was an open table. The young lady said we couldn't have that table because it was reserved for four people. I mentioned that we had a reservation for 7 pm. Then the owner walked by and scolded me and waved her hands, stating we were too early. I said we were five minutes early for our 7 pm. reservation. She was very rude, so we decided not to dine at the restaurant. I told the young lady we were not going to stay. We were very disappointed as we were really looking forward to dine at this establishment. We will never return."

"Second time visiting Tortolino Bistro. Homemade, authentic regional food made to order is absolutely delicious. Sercice is unhurried and nicely paced allowing for relaxing, enjoyable dining experience with the owners hosting. Tortellino Bistro is new to Sarasota in the Gulf Gate area and offers Fabulously authentic Italian food, beer and wine in a clean, elegant, yet casual environment. This family owned business brings their culinary culture and flair right from Italy and Brazil. Everything on the menu is made fresh to order. The entire dining experience was simply superb. This is a "must go to" stop while in the Sarasota area. Absolutely love this place!"

"This place is amazing, owners are also the operators, ie husband chef and wife server. She was absolutely amazing and very attentive. We followed her recommended dishes. Appetizer was buchetta and it was the best we have ever had. Dinner was gnocchi baked in mozzarella marinara and was phenomenal. Mine was off menu, I asked for spaghetti and meatballs cause I've been craving it for month and I only eat meat once a month. I asked and they made it for me and it tasted amazing as all there pasta and noodles are homemade fresh as I believe my meatballs were too. The desert was the best, home made Italian cheese cake. It was fluffy and so tasty. Best I've ever had. The place is small and intimate. Your best to make reservations as it's just her, him, and I believe there daughter. Definitely a place to hit on your date night."
