"We were downtown Lakewood Ranch and ran across a very nice art show. Then we found Casa Maya and we were very pleased with this restaurant. Veronica was friendly and seated us where I had asked her to. The chips came warm and they were great. The salsa was mild and not too garlicky. 5 ⭐️. My tacos were really good and they were packed with plenty of meat. I was only able to eat 2 of 3. The fried rice was cooked perfect and tasted great. Wife’s chimichanga was very good and the beans were good. 5 ⭐️. The margarita was really good. Had great flavor and the right amount of alcohol $8.95 ⭐️. Veronica was great, food great , atmosphere was great. Will we go back? Hell yes and you should too."

"We had time kill and decided to grab a couple tacos. When we got there it was not very busy and we were greeted and seated right away. We knew what we wanted and ordered very shortly after being seated. Our tacos looked just like a taco from Taco Bell, and tasted very similar to Taco Bell just less grease. We were not expecting authentic Mexican, but at least better then Taco Bell. The chips and salsa was average at best. Despite not being busy we never saw our waitress until I had to go find her to ask for a refill on my drink. At which she thought I was a new customer and wanted to seat me. The location was very nice in the shopping center and the outside seating was enjoyable. However that was our only enjoyment from this experience."

"I have been going to Casa Maya for years, and last night we were very surprised if molcajete de solo mar is unbeatable. My sister and brother-in-law traveled from Spain and were delighted with the food, service, especially from Mr. Ronald. I recommend them 1000%. Excellent!...."

"There is so much good and nice to say about this place, especially the sweet lady who waited our table. The quality of service was truly wonderful and the atmosphere comfortable and friendly. The presentation of our entrees was beautiful. It was apparent someone took great care in plating our meals, but the flavor did not correlate to everything about this place. We left disappointed with our food. We wished it met our tastes better, but for us it was a fail. Maybe the chef was off their game today. We will try again sometime in the future and hope to have a better review. I rated this two stars because ultimately this is a restaurant and good food is the main focus."
