"We had a good experience visiting Original Flavor 1889 on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't crowded, which we were very happy for since we know Sundays can be a busy day for restaurants around church departure. We started off with an appetizer of the calamari with shrimp. We were delighted to see that it also came with the zucchini. We really enjoyed the shrimp and zucchini. The calamari was good it just could have used a little more seasoning in the batter. That didn't stop us from enjoying the dish. I ordered the Americana Pizza, which was very good, while my partner ordered the Ravioli alla Napoletana. He enjoyed his entree till there was nothing left on his plate. The server that we had was very friendly and attentive. We could definitely see ourselves coming back in the future. Also, I'm sure at night sitting at the bar or outside can be a great view for people watching and great conversation on a busy weekend in St. Pete."

"Ok even though i tried something very different and it was alright but not excellent…that’s my fault. The key is that I could tell the base pizza dough was absolutely delicious and next time i will stick to what i know best. The staff were genuinely pleasant and accommodating. The place was very clean and modern. I had a great wine and took the bottle home as the waitress suggested. I will return."

"I've eaten here several times now and I would say that I have not had anything that was disappointing. We ordered a charcuterie board and it was a meal in itself. If you love great crust, the pizzas and paninis are very tasty. The Panini was more like a calzone, not pressed like most paninis. I haven't spent much time in Italy but I would say that it feels and tastes very Italian. It seems like most of the staff are Italian or Italian speaking."
