The Dean Martin Experience was so wonderful! Definitely, worth the one and half hour drive from Port Charlotte. We will be back, for sure!"

"I showed up early evening after work about 5:45pm. As I did not know anything about Frankie's I had no expectations beyond hoping for a good steak. As I was eating alone, I was sat in a booth in the front corner which was fine as it gave me a view the whole dining area. The bar area looks to be about 2/3 the dining room with plenty of bar seats to be had and 4-5 booths. My server found me and gave me the readers digest version of what they are about. After looking over the menu I decided to go for the "Cowboy" a 40 oz bone-in ribeye along with a side of mashed potatoes and an appetizer of mozzarella cheese. The cheese came out and was not your typical cheese sticks. This was a flatten mound of cheese garnished because presentation is half the dish. Very tasty but too much for a person or three. While waiting for the steak, I hear some Frank Sinatra type crooning but did not realize there was a live singer! He did an awesome job and as the place filled up the appreciation for his talents were marked with applause. Still waiting for the steak, a manager came by and presented me with a box of (6?) steak knives to choose from. All a little different from each other. I chose the most wicked looking one I could see. The steak arrives on a large platter with the bone sliced off the back and the rest neatly carved into strips. It was a lot of steak done to perfection! This is a thing best shared with a friend or you will have lots of leftovers. The staff were everywhere helping everyone. I had no less than 6 different people ask me how my meal was and if there was anything they could do. Super friendly attentive people. The kind that show you that they want to work there. About an hour and a half later I had my leftovers in bag to come home and the placed was packed. Reservations might be real good idea unless you get there early like I did."

"Superb food!! It's pretty pricey and is a la cart but great food does cost. We had the elk steak special and ribeye steak. Very good char on the outside of both which complimented the medium rare tenderness inside. The elk was lean and not gamey at all. The tender meat was pick off the bone delish! I'm so glad I decided on it. We had an early dinner and only two elk specials were left - it's prepared so well they sold out fast! The ribeye was very tender and juicy rich with flavor! The calamari was the best we've had anywhere - period! Fresh, tender! The anchovies on the salad were so mild I'd not have known what they were if I didn't see them whole. What a unique salad! Great selection of burbon whisky, the old fashion was smooth, flavorful, smoked nicely - delicate not harsh. Finished without a bite! And the tiramisu martini was bursting with my favorite flavors but it was light and topped with a thin froth. Live music included a Frank Sinatra table side seranade by a man in a black tuxedo. Everyone seemed to enjoy that nice upscale touch. The waiter was very good! He was enjoyable, personable and helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed. The parking lot is always full which speaks to its success but dont let that put you off if you see it, there is lots of seating inside. The overflow parking is in the grass."
