Reviews of Kissin' Cuzzins
"Maybe instead of kissin' their cuzzin, they should have been kissin' the cook for some motivation because the sides were better than the main dishes. We have the southern pride dish that comes with biscuits and gravy, a sausage patty, hash browns and eggs. The "scrambled" eggs were basically a plain omelette... Which is not scrambled eggs, consistency and taste is different. Biscuits and gravy were what tasted like canned (and partly stale) biscuits with a thick gravy that tasted watered down. The sausage patty was, well sausage patty that was well done and possibly sitting around from the dryness. But the has brown was the star. Nice and crispy and simple potato flavor. The hash Brown casserole didn't look very appealing, was overly saturated with sour cream which made it a bit difficult to eat after a few bites, but my lady seemed to love it, and she does not usually like overly seasoned foods. The cheesy grits were tasty but under cheesed, or too much grits. Either way it was tasty though needed more cheese. The place wasn't terrible, but not a place I would purposely choose to return to... Except to buy my lady the hash brown casserole."
"Great food, great service. Well worth the money. I walked out of there totally stuffed. The best Omelet I've had years in Pinellas County."
"First time at Kissin' Cuzzins. I'm glad we found this place. The food we had was absolutely delicious. Nothing bad to say about that! Flavorful, hot, plenty, presentable. They served it fast even when the place was packed to the roof with customers and more waiting to be led to a table, even more waiting to be greeted and some more walking in from outside. They needed a turnstile at the door! I can see why, too! It's the food, seriously good food that you can tell was made for you. Nothing cold and pre-cooked sitting there waiting to be had. Even the coffee was brewed constantly. Prices are on par with the area so expect to spend from $15-$20 per person on a decent breakfast. Their menu also has VERY appetizing offerings that we're looking forward to trying like their fish and chips, southern style fried chicken, and some of their sandwiches. They have vegetarian options as well. The place itself... well, it needs a facelift, though. It's very dated, cramped, and overused. The bathrooms are uncomfortable, fixtures rusted. So, yes, please, new owner. Fix the place. It looks old and dirty even when we know it is not. That place is a gold mine! Your food is phenomenal! You have the clientele, your servers are ALL wonderful... even the kid that walks around topping off our coffee mugs is king! But please, update your place, reprint the menus. Fix the bathrooms. Of course I'm not an entrepreneur or anyone to tell you what to do, just a new client who is STILL thinking about the food you served and looking forward to trying new plates. My plate was a 3 egg Meat Lovers Omelette with Monterrey Jack, Hash Browns and Sourdough bread toasts. We will be back for the food for sure!"
"I have been coming here since I was a toddler (and I’m in my 40s!) and breakfast is still as good as I remember as a child. This week we tried the sweet potato pancakes which were heavenly. I’m such a creature of habit and was scared to move from the buttermilk that are always amazing- but it was a great choice. Service is always friendly, and the food is always fast and efficient."
"Great experience and definitely would recommend. Sit in the back and you can watch the news. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. Definitely try the hash brown casserole. The omelette was full of fresh veggies and had a little too much cheese for me but will ask for less next time."
