Prima Cantina

"Absolutely 5 stars for Prima!! The location was super easy to find. They had plenty of parking! The staff was very friendly! You get complimentary chips and salsa, which seems to be a fading tradition in Tex Mex restaurants. The food came out quickly and HOT! Burritos are massive! The rice bowl was delicious. They put the cheese over the top of the bowl and then put it under the broiler to “toast” the cheese. Delicious!!! To top it all off, their patio seating is Doggie friendly!! They even brought her a bowl of water! I would 100% come back here again!"

"The pub we & friends were headed for was closed for some remodeling... sooo, we decided to try Prima Cantina on SPB, it's been a number of restaurants over the years since being a Village Inn (yeah, I'm that old) and none really made it. Well, I hope Prima Cantina does. I had the Short Rib Tacos, three with the rice & beans side and I found them to be GREAT! My Better Half had the fish tacos (Mahi Mahi) and she thoroughly enjoyed them ( and commented on how much fish there was on the tacos). Our friends had the Short Rib Tacos and the Chicken Empanada and they also greatly enjoyed them. The only reason for the dropping of a star was their lack of servers working tonight. Our Server did a good job, but to the number of patrons arriving to eat he was a little over stretched. All in all, great food, cold beer, clean place. We'll be back, and if you haven't been... Give it a try."

"Pleasantly surprised at our experience with Prima Cantina tonight. Great service, yummy food and good value. Chips and salsa and water were brought to the table quickly and margaritas were ordered! They were brought quickly to the table as well. Then we thoroughly enjoyed our taquitos and tacos! We’ve driven by several times, and were so glad we stopped tonight. We will be back!"

"Pretty solid Mexican in St Pete, right across from our hotel so we had to check it out. The margs were good and the entree were both extremely filling. But the MVP goes to the ceviche, that stuff was intoxicating, I just wanted more and more."

"The best Mexican food on the beach. Excellent service from our waitress Kennedy. She was very attentive. Even the restaurant manager Manny came over to check on us. All their food was great and large portions. I must make a note about their cilantro rice. I know what you thinking rice??? This rice was out of this world. It had to be the best rice I've ever had in my life. Go try it! The restaurant was bright and clean. It is also decorated very nicely. We sat in side but they have very nice seating outside for beautiful nights."
