Salem's Fresh Eats

"Randomly encountered this spot on a 1am food hunt in St Pete in which I was trying to get some food that had options in seafood due to my dietary needs. That said at 1am beggars can’t be choosers as McDonald’s and Wendy’s were pretty much the only other options. I saw “fresh eats” on a sign and was reeled in. They had a lot of seafood options which was amazing and I opted for the #3 with about 10 shrimp, a large slice of tilapia, fries and a drink. This was about $18 which value for price was overall on the higher side but ok. The seasoning on the fries and the way they were cooked were great. Light and crunchy. On the other hand the shrimp had aalllot of seasonings on them ( a bit too much) but it was still well done on the cooking part as they did taste fresh and not tough in texture. The fish was light and buttery with a perfect amount of seasoning. The only downside being I didn’t receive a fork… so I had to eat that perfectly cooked (grilled) tilapia with my hands… which got hella messy. Overall better fast food than most (especially at 1 am)!"

"I FEEL SICK from eating this food. The chicken was microwaved because it was super chewy and inedible. I was charged for 2 side sauces, there was only one in the bag so I asked the other and the lady literally asked me to show her the bag through the drive through and started arguing with me over the sauce. I had 3 people taking my order and I had to start over 3 times after I had already given my order to the person. The staff was super rude and the lady asked me why I was still waiting at the drive through (because half of my order was missing). Way too expensive for low quality food. I WOULD NOT RECCOMENDTO ANYONE! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!"

"NOT what I was expecting. When I saw fresh eats, I thought like salads. What they mean is fresh tasting food. The Philly Cheese steak is not greasy and does taste fresh. The shrimp taste fresh as well and aren't micro Captain D's size. The building signage makes me think I'm about to buy souvenir tshirts 3 for $10, so I have to look past that."

"Decided to stop by was in the mood for a gyro.. We ordered the 2 for $9.99 chicken and lamb gyro, no onions as well as the barbecue boneless wings.. Have to say fresh food definitely worth going don't let the reviews previously posted sway you from going to have some good food at a good price. Only downside they don't put enough sauce and had to pay extra :( Will return. Note, we had to wait at drive thru due to limited staff but worth the wait."
